Room Requests at Dolphin

We're planning our first Disney vacation ever. My husband went TDY to Tampa in Sept and then deployed to Doha, Qatar. We are planning our family reunion in December at the Dolphin. We booked the standard room at the gov't rate. I'm looking for any advice on room requests. We'll be travelling with our 2 yr old and 5 yr old. I had read in one book that some rooms have a lot of noise due to boat traffic. Anyone experience that? Any good tips about what to request?

OK, I see people are reading my question. Is everyone else just curious or looking for advice themselves? No one has some advice? Are the boat horns loud in some of the rooms? Recommended areas of the resort? Areas to try to stay away from???
