I think I read somewhere that spacific room requests are frowned upon by CRO. I was going to fax one in for an upcomming stay but now I'm a little gun shy. Does anyone have any feedback on this?

Thanks:D

Disney resorts try to do there best to make there guest stay as wonderful as possible. Do not feel shy about asking for a specific location.I do and so do lots of others.

Just don't send a fax. Those all go to the trash (except the really funny ones that get posted in the break room).

don't fax, call up the CRO with your request...
i've only requested a specific building once and did get it (at dixie landings)...
i just called up CRO yesterday to request a specific room at the GF....it's only a request, but it can't hurt to ask...
i've also sent the request to the concierge itinerary planning office (though i doubt that will make a difference....but it can't hurt)....

When I made my reguest I called the hotel itself and got the room I wanted. I was told to call 4 days before arriving cause thats when they do the request. What is the # for CRO and what does it stand for?

I found this useful:

I called six days out just to make sure all my requests were on my ressie. The CM was very nice & helpful. He said my requests were on there but were in the wrong place (?) & wouldn't have gotten to the hotel if he hadn't corrected them. Anyways, that's all I plan on doing.

Jimmiej,

Just curious, when you called 6 days out, did you call CRO or the hotel direct?

:jumping1: :thewave:

At 6 days out the hotel doesn't have the reservation yet. Call Central reservations with the request. Also you can ask at check in with any requests.

THe resorts download the CRO reservations into their computers 10 days in advance now. It's been that way for quite a while.

I faxed ASMo 4 days in advance of our stay in April for a connecting room in the Dalmatian Bldg. Not only did we get the connecting room, we got the Dalmatian Bldg. with an awesome view of Pongo right outside our door! It certainly can't hurt to try. We were celebrating little DD's birthday and she is obsessed with the dalmatians. It really made our trip even more special!

It never hurts to give it a try.
The worst they can say is that they will not be able to do that for you. And I can't see that happening.

The problem with requesting a specific room is that it may be occupied when you check in. Then you are left with nothing for a request. It's really better to specify more general requests, like non-smoking, pool view, woods view, non-handicapped, etc. instead of a specific room. Let them know the details about the room you like and then you won't be disappointed if you get some of them.

Give your requests to the agent when you book your room. They will get to the resort 10 days prior to your arrival.
