Room Request Opinions: VWL Studio / AKV-Jambo Studio Savannah View

Hi all,
We have a split stay coming up in a few months and I'd like to go ahead and get our room request in. Any opinions on the following?

VWL Studio

AKV-Jambo Studio (Savannah View)

Preferences:
For VWL I'd really just like the best view possible. Floor/proximity to elevator/etc. are not a huge deal to me. (I've never stayed at VWL so if there is something I'm overlooking please feel free to add your own insight!)

AKV-Jambo - We stayed here about 5 years ago. Loved the place but also realize it can be a long long way from civilization if you get put in the 'wrong' room. Preference here is to get the best Savannah view possible but also not be too far away from the lobby.

Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

My primary experience is with VWL. The best views are on the lake side despite the new cabins built there. So, I'd go lake view, high floor. The other side--bus stop side--is mostly trees, and while still lovely and peaceful, doesn't leave you much to see from your balcony.

I've stayed at both. While the Savannah View at AKL is incredible, it does take a lot longer to get to the parks. Full disclosure... I LOVE WL. It is easily my favorite resort. If you have never stayed, I would highly recommend it. Aside from the resort itself being awesome, you have Whispering Canyon, which is a favorite of ours, as well as boat transportation to MK, Contemporary and, Ft Wilderness. The boat rides are fantastic. About 10 minutes and very relaxing. In my experience, they are rarely crowded, even after MK closes.

Thanks all. Just to be clear, not really looking for opinions on the resort themselves at this point as we've already booked. Just trying to figure out the best room requests for each!

Anyone have advice on a good Savannah room (studio) request at Jambo house? Would rather not walk a mile back to the lobby so assuming just asking for 'near lobby' may be safest bet?

We were in room # 5503, it was very close to an elevator that took us right down to the pool and Mara. It had great views of animals, and many of them slept below or near by this room each night. I believe there are more than one studio in that area on the Zebra Trail. I guess you could ask for a room on the Zebra trail near the elevator. http://www.parkinfo2go.com/dvc-akv/floor5-large.html
