Which room should I request if we would like to be close to the bus stop/pool/snack area, but, also quite, I was thinking building 2 or 5, river view? Tia

Bldgs# 2 & 5 are the closest to the main building and they sit on each side of the pool. You can ask for a River view room.:thumbsup2

We were on the back side of building 4. There was a path that lead to the bus stop and we were very close to the main building. It was very quiet because we were on the backside of the building. But I think everywhere at this resort is peaceful.

We were in building 4 on the end closest to the main building, but facing the courtyard. There was a stairwell three doors down from us and then a little pathway between our building and the main building that led to the front of the building then directly to the bus stop. We were only about 2 minutes from the food court or the buses. I agree that this resort is the quietest. No building is really that far (except maybe buildings 1 or 7).

We stayed on the backside of Building 3 on the top floor. I don't remember the room number but I can find it if you interested. We were right in the middle of the rooms in the back, and we got no foot traffic in front of our room. I'm serious, I don't think one person walked in front of our room the whole trip. The rooms to the left of us went left to get to the elevators and the rooms to the right went right. Oddly enough, we were disappointed because we had carved Mickey Head on a pumpkin (a fake one) and put it in the window to show it off and not soul saw it other than Mousekeeping. The room was overlooking a court yard and was a short walk to the food courts and bus area.

We also were in Bldg #3 and we faced the coutyard. It was beautiful and quiet.:thumbsup2 I'll post a picture of the fountain in the coutyard. We actually didn't hear anyone in our building all week. Also, My DH had a bad back so he used the hot tub alot and it was about 1 minute away! That's what is so great about POFQ, everthing is close but it's a very quiet resort! You're going to love it!!! Have Fun!!!:goodvibes

You should not request a (specific) room.

If you feel the need to request anything - and keep in mind POFQ is relatively compact - you should request "a quiet room near the bus/pool/snack area", in the order of importance.

River view - any water view - is an additional $15 per night.

We stay there all the time, and because it isn't a really big resort, I don't ever find the need to request a certain building. We did luck in one trip, and got bumped (without knowing it until we got to the room) to a river view Kingsize bed room. That was wonderful. It is a pretty quiet resort - but I imagine it's more noisy toward the pool area - but we've never been in a room near there.

Like some people said above, the resort is very compact, so you won't have to walk far from anywhere. We've been in buildings 2, 5, and 6 and we didn't notice much of a difference :thumbsup2 Have fun!

We stayed in Building 5 last May, with an inner, courtyard view - I wouldn't spend the extra $$ for a river view - the river is only a short (100 yards max?) walk from anywhere at the resort ...

We were also just around the corner from the pool, and it was very quiet -

Enjoy!! (we sure did ...) :cloud9:

I had my TA put in a request for either bldg 2 or 5, river view. I know its extra money, but, I think we will really enjoy that. Thanks everyone!!

We stayed in building 2 riverview last year and really liked it. I enjoyed seeing if the boat was there from our hotel room to take us to DTD.

We are wanting the Opposite, we would like to be at the back of the
resort so we can easily walk to main area or hop over to POR.
We will see where we end up, I am not making any request.

Even if you are in one of the buildings that are further away, POFQ is so small it's not really that much further.

I stayed in building 7 (facing the courtyard and building 6) and loved it. It was fairly close to the bus stop in the morning, and not too far from the main building and the pool. It was my first time with a ground floor room and loved the convience of that. I'm traveling with my parents this year, and that's the only thing we are asking for with a request. My father's knees give him trouble, so avoiding the stairs would be helpful.

When we checked in I just requested close to the food court and bus stop. We were given bldg. 4. It was right next to the food court and a close walk to the bus stop. Just what we wanted. We did not have a great view but the location we wanted was more important to us with small children at the time.

We always get a building close to the front, but a river view. King rooms have two large windows.
