Next week, I am going to try for the 7 month availability for a 1 bedroom at BCV, if I am successful, what room requests should I try for? It is just DH, DD(4) and I going, so distance to SAB and the main lobby is not a big deal to us. TIA

Go for none and see what you get. Since they eliminated smoking in the resort rooms and villas, we don't make any requests when we stay at BCV. No real point because the views aren't that great.

When view isn't an issue for me at any property, I like staying on the top floor away from the elevator; it usually gets you a quieter room location (though that request can come back to bite you at BWV.) When we stayed at BCV this past summer, I just requested top floor and I got it. It was only a few doors from the elevator and I loved it. Was so easy to head down and get to the Marketplace, the pool, the bus stop, or head to the walkway to Epcot. And we could actually see the Illuminations fireworks from our balcony. The only thing I didn't like about the top floor rooms was that the balcony light couldn't be turned off - they must be automatic. Would have been nice to turn them off for the fireworks.

I noticed there were some rooms by the BCV pool with HUGE balconies - if you like a large balcony that might be a request to consider.

We stayed in 1br #320 at BVC last December. It had a Woods(EPCOT) view... saw fireworks every night. It was near main elevator & very convenient.
There are maps & views listed here: http://www.parkinfo2go.com/dvc-bcv/
If you click on a room #, you can see pic(s) from balcony.
