Hi! I am planning on sending in a room request a few days before we arrive and was wondering where to request. We have paid for a Woodsview room at WL and I know that I've read the Woodsview faces either the woods by MK or the WLVillas.

I would rather be facing the woods towards MK...can't you see the fireworks at night from that side?

Anyway, ANY advice about this would be helpful! Thanks!

Before fireworks are set to go off go up to top of Wilderness Lodge and find the big windows that face the MK.
One night my DH, DS & I watched the fireworks from that window

WL no longer accepts faxed room requests.....be sure your request is noted on your original reservation!

mickeycw is correct. WL is now one of the resorts that does not accept faxed in room request. You should call if you have anything specific you want, so it can be noted.

I would call CRO and add it to your reservation. We stayed there last spring in room 5032 and we had a perfect view of the castle. It was so fun to sit on the balcony at night and watch the castle change colors while the monorail zoomed by. Good Luck on getting a good view!:goodvibes

mudogs,

I have heard others mention room 5032. Do you remember if it was a connecting room? Do you know if it is possible to request a specific room? I have two woodsview rooms reserved in June. I would like to request 5032 and 5034.

Thanks.

Me too!! I want to request a good view too...

When are you all going to be there? What if we all requested the same rooms at the same time?

We are going from May 28th-June 4th....

Luv2Trav,

We'll be there June 4th thru the 7th. Then we are moving over to Saratoga Springs.

We don't have a conflict in dates. So you request the good view and then give my name to the front desk as you are leaving to inherit your room. :D

If I remember right, my in-laws were in 5034. It was next door, but not a connecting room. I honestly don't remember if we had a door in our room that connected to the room the other way...I guess that would be 5030.....it seems like we did. 5034 is at the far end of the north wing and off to the side is the service entrance. Alot of delivery trucks coming and going. My in-laws didn't seem to mind it, but I would say the other side of 5032 would be better. It was also a great location because right outside the door was the elevator and it was a quick trip to Roaring Forks. I would try to request it, it can't hurt![

Do any rooms on the fifth floor (woods - MK view) have bunk beds?

I'm not sure about the bunk beds.....I would call the resort and ask that question...I'm sure CRO would not know that.

does anyone know what rooms are at the end of the wings that face out into bay lake? are those considered woods view? I'm not so concerned with seeing fireworks I rather would have a great view of the lake! Thanks in advance.

Great question! I have wondered that EVERYTIME I walk back from the boat.

ddank....
When I stayed at WL in October, we were in #5014. It was considered woods view. We had a view of the castle and saw the fireworks! It was a little far away, but it was still gorgeous!

We had doubles in our room. But, I think that every other room is bunk bed rooms... so, maybe 5012 and 5016???

You might want to go to the WL FAQ thread to check this out for sure!

So is that considered the north wing? Sounds like if you just get a woods view, north wing on the fifth floor you will be doing alright.

One time when I stayed there I was on a top floor (not sure which) but it had an enclosed balcony. Can you recall if that was the fifth floor?

Makes it tough for kids to look out - it was at chest level.

hmm maybe I'm not being clear.. I don't want to be facing the castle, Actually quite the opposite. You know those rooms at the end on the wing (if the WL is a big U, this would be the tip of it.) These rooms are hanging right over top the walkway back from the boat dock and the marinas for boat rentals. They would be perfect viewing for the water parade or ever EPCOT fireworks! Wish there was a map of the WL somewhere...

we were at WL last month...seems so long ago....we reserved a woods view room and were happily upgraded to a courtyard/lagoon view(free). A great room. We were in 4071. We watched the ELP from our bed. We were next to the viewing/lounge area on the 4th floor. It was a great room and the CM who put us in it, said it was the best room and that we would never want another room again. We took lots of pictures from the balcony of the ferry boats on the lagoon and the pool view. She was right, it was a great room, especially since we only paid for a Woods view room. When we came out our door we were at the rails overlooking the lobby. Sometimes in the morning we would hear the music from the lobby, but it was never a bother, more like soothing.

Are even numbers on the MK side and odd numbers on the courtyard/pool side?
