We are going to be staying in our home resort in June, for the first time. We have a one bedroom mk view. I am thinking that we want to be on the highest possible floor, 81?? Or 82??. My question is which is better the ??18/20 rooms or the ??26/28 rooms?

I don't know if there is a better Theme Park View, upper floor is the only suggestion that I can think of. There really isn't much to see except the castle in the distance and the fireworks.

I would ask for an upper floor instead of trying for a specific end number- Having stayed in a studio on the 11th floor I would say that floor is more important than anything else.

We have stayed in an MK view three times -- twice on the 11th floor, once on the 8th. Higher is better, although 8 is good also.

I would definitely say 18/20 is a little better than 24/26/28 area. We have stayed in 8124, 8120, and 7824. The reason I say 18/20 is better is when you are viewing the fireworks. From BLT, the fireworks actually explode above Space Mountain. The curve of the building makes viewing better from the more northern rooms.

There is nothing better than tuning into channel 20 and listening to Jiminy Cricket while the foreworks explode outside your window. Two minutes after its over, your in bed! No crowds! Plus, its a lot harder to have a beer during Wishes if you are on Main Street!!!

I know I am in the minority on these boards, but I wouldn't stay at BLT without an MK view. Our "kids" are 24 & 17, so we don't need to be next to MK, but the view is special, especially as the sun sets.

Thanks Mac, I was think that the 18/20 rooms would be better and you just confirmed it.

Ditto what the previous posters said. The higher the better and the curve towards the MK. Loved staying there! Can't wait to go back! :thumbsup2

Always remember the Top of the World Lounge is there too as an option for your viewing pleasure!!!

They serve some excellent flatbreads, etc up there...and for those of you who like beer, mixed drinks, and that sort they serve a nice selection up there(ive witnessed this, do not drink the stuff myself....)....and the CMs up there are TOPS!

Is the TOTW a lounge as no children?

It's more of a bar/lounge than a family establishment but people do bring their kids there though. The original intention was to make it an adult only venue where adults without kids could take a break from the young ones, but I doubt that it will ever happen.
