When they text you that room is ready do they just text you the number? Or will they also include what section in? It will be our first time staying on site since 1996 so just wondering so will know where to go once get the text. Thanks!!

"DisneyRoomAlts: Your resort room is ready. Your room number is 8142 1st Floor Cabanas Building 8A"

this was my text last week, staying at Coronado Springs.

I would go online before you leave and print out a map of your resort so you can see where the buildings are located - no matter what resort you are staying in. In the case quoted here, it would be nice to be able to locate building 8A or the section Cabanas before you arrive.

Kind of a related question: We'll be arriving at POR at night and I'll plan on doing the online checkin. Thanks above for the tip about printing out a resort map. Here's the question: Since I'll be driving in from MCO, does the guard at the gate issue the parking pass that can be used at the parks and within POR, or do I still need to go to the front desk for that? Or...is everything on the MB now, including parking privileges?

There are many reports on these boards that the MB is used for parking access. Not sure if that's 100% at this time.

We did not get a parking pass at AKL Kidani. When we drove to other parks we just told them where we were staying. The believed us (I think this is crazy). They had no magicband machines at the parking lots. I was texted my room number and the closest elevator. Never went to the front desk at all!!

We were at Bay Lake Tower from August 22-30. We received a text with our room number at 3:36 PM. We also received an email at the same time with the same information. The email had a link to click on to see a map of the resort. It was great skipping the line at the front desk.

When we arrived and told the guard we were checking in he gave us the paper parking pass to put on our windshield.

This is exactly what happened to us at All-Star Sports this summer. We received a text maybe around 1:30-2pm with our room number and building, and when I checked my email we also had an email with the same info. I can't comment on the parking though as we didn't have a car with us. It was awesome because when we got back to the hotel we just went to the room and the MBs unlocked the door, no hassle!
