:confused3 I am wondering if room rates are based on the number of people staying in a room? The other day I called to ask a ? about the AKL and stated I might be adding another guest, a total of 4, and the CM told me that would be an additonal $25 a day. Did not ask why but I thought maybe someone here can explain this to me. Thanks! :rainbow:

They charge extra if you have more than two adults staying in the room. Two adults & two children same price.

Many/most hotels show rates based on double occupancy. Adding kids usually doesn't cost extra, but adding adults does. It's pretty common, but most people don't realize it because it doesn't come up on most of their trips. Still, $25 a night is cheaper than getting a 2nd room.......

The person you added was an adult and you already had two adults in the room. You pay $25/night (deluxe) for every adult in the room above two.
