Room Rates during ToT Weekend

I just called the wdw-irun number to book my room at Pop, and for friday to monday, it came to $407!! I checked on Disney's site and my total for the same dates and room were $409?! What kind of running savings is that? I guess I'll have to wait until the fall room discounts come out and then rebook, and maybe find a roomie for the weekend. I just thought that $135 a night for a room at pop in October was a little steep...I remember paying $70 a night only a couple years ago

that is really steep.. id wait till the dicounts come out or maybe look into renting points... @135 a night you could pretty get a mod with the fall discounts

Proof that I am rusty in the DIScounts department. I cancelled that reservation and booked a AAA discount through the regular WDW reservation system..saved $40! Hoping something better comes along though for the fall.

I find RunDisney's ticket discount to be way better than their room discounts! I will just wait for the room only discount - hoping I can get down there on like the last day of free dining kinda thing if I can go down a little early
