Hi,

can anyone tell me what rate you are charge if you overlap a season.

If I travel from sept 28 (value season) to Oct 3 (regular season), will the rate be at value rate my whole stay?

Disney no longer has this policy. Each day will be charged for its particular season. Therfore if you have 1 day in value season and 6 days in regular season. You will be charged accordingly (1 day value rate and 6 days regular rate).

Disney used to let you keep the rate you checked in at for your whole stay, but recently changed. Must have been too many people checking in on the last cheaper day, and then keeping that rate for the whole trip. Now you just pay whatever each day's rate is. Weekends are usually more expensive than weekdays too.

Yeah, it really does stink that you can no longer do this. I checked in on Dec. 19th and got the value rate ( and 40% off) for my whole trip in December. Can't do that anymore.

If part of your stay is in value season and part is in regular season, do you have to have two separate reservations? I tried to book a trip with a 40% off code and the first two days were before the code's dates so they wanted to make me have two separate reservations and two separate deposits. But if this is not the case with part of your trip during value and part during regular, why couldn't they have just given me one reservation instead?:confused3

You can't arrive before a code starts, but you can stay after it expires at full price. I went through quite a bit with Guest Services on this for our upcoming Dec trip (we arrive 1 day before our pin code starts). We ended up with a room only (no dining, no tix) for our first day and a 8 day package for the rest. We will just hang out by the resort and DTD the first day...

I asked why I can't do it since you can the other way around and she said the discount system program isn't "smart" enough to recognize what we are trying to do
