Room quietness at BWI ?

I have a gardenview room booked at BWI for 3 nights and I am really looking forward to it.I just got The 2006 Unofficial Guide to WDW and people have rated the room quietness of BWI as a C some value resorts even did better,my sleep is very important to me, especially since I have very active and busy days planned.This has me a little worried so I would appreciate it if anyone can give me any feedback on their stay at BWI good or bad.

we ahve stayed in rooms that were right on the boardwalk, next to the espn club and never had a problem with noise. as soon as we closed the patio doors, we couldnt hear anything.

I agree we had a room on the boardwalk and when the doors were closed it was quiet. I actully liked having them open in the morning and afternoon to hear the music and fun of everything going on.

We've stayed at the BWI many times and love it. If you'd like quiet, put in your request for a room overlooking the rose garden courtyard. I also request an upper floor room ~ it's usually quieter and you have a very good chance of seeing Illuminations from your balcony

The only time we've had an issue with noise was in a boardwalk-view room. We were close to the ESPN Club and, unlike the other poster, we could hear noise even with the door closed. Not bad, but more than I would have liked.

Request a courtyard Epcot view. The only noise we heard was from the fireworks from Illuminations. Since we were out on the balcony viewing them, it was no problem at all. As long as you are going to sleep after Illuminations, this view would be the quietest.

We have stayed at the BWI many times and we have never had a problem with noise. It is very quiet. Request a room overlooking the gardens ~ standard view and very beautiful.

The Garden Suites are located in the courtyard. These are 2 story suites each with their own little 'yard' - they are separated from one another by white picket fences.

We stayed in a garden view room (view of courtyard) at BWI and it was one of the most quiet resorts we've stayed in. I was surprised b/c I thought it would be noisy. I liked having the action of the boardwalk and then being able to walk back to the quiet room; it was like 3 different places next to each other. Enjoy your stay! I love BWI.

we have stayed concierge right over the boardwalk and once the door is shut you don't hear a thing, I am going back on the 31st the same type room

Sounds neat! Why do you not hear so much about them? Can just anyone stay there? If so, what do they cost, and does anyone have any pics of the interiors?

I believe the Garden Suites are part of the Disney Vacation Club. Anyone can stay there but it may be cheaper to buy DVC points from a member than pay Disney directly.
We stayed in a standard room at the BWI in June. We had a great view of the homes that make up the DVC. It was such a nice, relaxing, and very attractive view with all the flowers. We saw Epcot in front of us and could see the fireworks on the nights we were in our room during Illuminations. I agree with other posters that it was very quiet. Loved staying at the BWI and would definitely stay there again.
If I can pass along a little breakfast tip.....We were getting tired of going out every morning to eat at the various restaurants in the area. We saw a sign in the BWI about the Belle Vue room which is to the left just before you get to the elevators. They have breakfast itmes such as bagels, donuts, muffins, etc. Our last few days at the BWI we bought our breakfast there and took it back to our room. Very good and I thought the prices were good also.

I don't THINK it's part of DVC. We own there, but we are relatively new and don't know all of the ins and outs yet. I don't believe these types of rooms are not listed as an option (unless perhaps it is what is termed a "Grand Villa"?) Any DVC'ers out there know for sure?

Anyone can stay there. They are part of concierge, sleep 4, have a microwave, fridge, and sink downstairs with a bath and pullout sofa. Upstairs they have a huge 4 poster bed, and large bath with the bubble tub. Very cute and overlook the quiet pool.

We just got back last night after a very short "long" weekend trip. I had at first requested an EPCOT view room, but changed to a boardwalk view since we would be able to watch the fireworks at EPCOT from the concierge lounge. Once the door was closed, we couldn't hear anything at all from the boardwalk. I have been a die hard WL fan, but the BWI is now my favorite resort!
