Looks like we are going to go in early December. We have a choice of Port Orleans or Animal Kingdom Lodge. We are 2 adults and 3 kids (5,4,1- during the trip). They've got different room selections- single, double, triple or quad. Ok, call me naive but never had to select from those choices before so I'm a bit confused. What are the room/bed configurations with those rooms? Of course, the least expensive is the quad room but I don't want to be stuck with twin beds for the adults. Anyone offer any insight about the rooms and what type of beds are normally offered with each room. The only price difference is with the adults- the kids are the same at either resort.

I would opt for the Alligator Bayou section of POR, with the trundle beds, to accommodate your family and save some money over AKL. POR is a terrific resort with beautiful grounds and some great amenities. JMHO

I believe that the room selections might actually be the same as amount of people staying in that room.

POR has only one room size with either 1king bed or 2full beds or 2 full beds and a trundle.

So, i would think that the selections refer to occupancy.

I could be wrong.

Ok, reading it again, I guess you are right if it refers to occupancy based on adults. Since we have 2 adults, I'd pick a double room and the kids are add ons. I think.

Well, like I said i might be wrong about your choices, but all the rooms are the same size in POR. I have never stayed in the other resort.

Is there a difference between one hotel or the other. Does one offer more? The price difference between packages is $600. This would be the first WDW trip w/kids.
