Room Ques. at POR

We're staying at POR 5/15-19 & have requested bldg#14 or 15 in AB section. Should I also request a certain room or floor??

This is our first time at this resort and we wanted to be close to the food court and bus stop. Our 6 and 4 year olds will be tired enough from all the walking in the parks

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...thanks.

Hi, Welcome to the DIS.

Both of those buildings are in a great location. We stayed there during our last trip.

Something to keep in mind is that the AB bldgs do not have elevators. They are only 2 stories though. If you think that the kids would be especially tired then go with a 1st floor room.

I think you'll love that location.

Definitely request a first floor room. It will make a big difference, especially if you are traveling with a stroller. Lugging a stroller up and down stairs is not much fun.

Also, bldg 14 is primarily reserved for guests with disabilities so more than likely you will be in bldg. 15. That is where we stayed on our last trip with our son 3.5 yrs old.

Don't forget to visit the fishing hole, at least once. My son only caught one fish but he enjoyed trying. It is very sunny there so bring suntan lotion and a hat.

And, if you are there when POFQ is open you might want to stroll down there for a dip in the pool. Kids just love the theme around the pool and the serpent slide. It is a little slower than the one at Riverside and good for young kids.

Welcome, We stay at POR with our 3 DD's and this is what our experience has been. Bldg 14 is very difficult to get into if you do not have disabilities. The corner rooms have 2 windows which makes for a little bit more light. We like the second floor because we don't want to hear people walking above us. there are no elevators so you do have to walk up the stairs. Last time we went our room in bld 18 wasn't ready and wouldn't be for a while. We decided to take a room already ready in bldg 24 AB room 2464 to be exact. The location is FAR from the main bldg/food court, but we liked it very much. It was right on the quiet pool, across from the laundry. also the last bus stop was right around the corner so we actually walked less on the way back at night then some who got dropped at the main bldg. It is inconvienant if you plan to use the main bldg alot and get your full moneys worth our of the cups. Good luck! if you have any more question we went with 2 dd's ages 4,5 and ds age 8 me and Dh
