Room Payment Question

I was wondering what happens if you pay off a room before going but then a code comes out. You grab it for a cheaper rate. What do they do with the extra money now on the account? Do they send it back to you? Do they add it on to your room charge?

This happened to my neighbor, they had a credit at check in of the remaining balance. They used the money to pay for things they charged back to the room.

Good question. I was wondering the same thing. I'd like to have everything paid for before we get there, but I don't want to miss out on any discounts!

This happen to me when a code came out. The credit remained on the account. I had assumed that it would credit my credit card, but I found out that I had to request that option.

They will leave a credit on your account that you can then use for room charges.

An uncle of mine used to make a reservation and then send them $200.00 every month until they got there so there would be a credit balance and then my cousins could charge things to the room without running up a huge bill for later.

How do you make monthly payments? Do you call CRO and have something applied to your ressie by credit card? I would like to have mine paid off before I go, and hopefully with the help of a code have a credit for spending when I get there.

TOTAL newb question here! How do I find out if there's a code for a discount for my room? Also, we received a discount thru AAA; would this discount be on top of that?

You can check www.mousesavers.com to see if there are any public codes out for your travel time, if not, then keep checking they may come out. You can also call CRO and ask if there are any PIN #s attached to your name for special offers. As far as AAA, no, it would not be on top of that, but usually a code discount is far better than AAA. But of course AAA is better than no code at all However, if you booked through AAA you can't make changes with CRO, only AAA can.
