I was wondering I have 2 room only reservations at BRV and SSR for early June- I am in the process of a resale currently in closing and was wondering what the rules are on a room only reservation. How long do I have to cancel before a penalty? I wanted to try and use points for June- don't think it will be likely I can but in the rare event my points are loaded and can use them what is cutoff? Is it 30 days prior? I see that the room onlys don't have to be paid till you arrive. I am trying to figure things out

The standard, i.e. non-COVID, policy for room only reservations is full refund if cancelled up to 5 days before your arrival date. “Packages” are 30 days prior for full refund. Don’t have to worry about it right now but attaching a dining plan turns a room only reservation into a package.

Man I really hope that is the case, because I would rather save the few thousand dollars its costing me and use my points. Maybe someone could clarify this if possible.

Yes, standard cancellation policy for room only is 5 days. During Covid they made that even more lenient and let people cancel up to the day before with full refund (maybe even day of?).

Either way, 5 days is the strictest. Which is pretty generous
