Room only to package question re:adding dining

What Mickeynut said. I have heard of people getting the Dining Plan on room only discounts without buying tickets but it has to be a kind CM or a common mistake. I've called several times and each person I've spoken with has informed me tickets MUST be purchased in order to add the dining plan. You can buy a one day base ticket but you still HAVE to have a ticket on the package.

I'm curious about this as well, I have a bounceback room only and I would really like to have deluxe dinning, but we have APs and I'm waiting for AP rates to come out to book a package w/ the dinning and cancel the room only - but it would be sweet if I could change the room only to a package now. I tried in Dec. when I booked the bounceback, but was told no - I was in a rush (checking out/plane DME to catch) so didn't try too hard, just took the cm's word for it.
