Room only reservation or package?

I have an Room booked w APH discount and added the Disney Dining Plan. I’m already wishing my 30 day window of our trip. Can I modify it back to an APH Room Only? What fees would I have to pay?
You can't make it a room only, with room only cancelation terms. The reason being, that would require canceling the package (and forfeiting the deposit) and rebooking room only.

However, you MIGHT be able to modify your package to be a ticketless room only PACKAGE. This creature does exist, and is sold by the Walt Disney Travel Co. (which is why you may be able to do it). This would have package TandC, and package cancelation policies. Whether the CM will/knows how to do this or not, you would have to call and ask. If they did this, you would keep the same reservation number.

This shouldn't require canceling and rebooking.
We are the same. Also, really like the flexibility of being able to cancel or change up tp 5 days prior to arrival without penalty. and we often have Annual Passes.
But, if you are buying tickets (as opposed to annual passes), getting date based tickets makes getting the tickets separately result in less flexibility than a package.

To the bolded - only if you are buying tickets with less days than you are staying. We are staying 9 nights and we have one AP and are buying one park-hopper ticket for 9 days (we leave early on 10th day). So that ticket is just as flexible as a package ticket. :)

Yes, that is true. You're referring to the number of days a multi day ticket can be used, and that is a very good point. If you aren't going to the parks on a few days, packages may be the way to go for this alone.

But, I was referring to the flexibility of changing your dates. If you get a package and need to change your dates more than 30 days out, it's free and easy to do so. With the date based tickets, not so much.
