room only or package w/tix?

Our family has finally decided that Disney in June will be part of our Florida vacation. I can get the educator discount at Swan/Dolphin. Is this my best bet in terms of price? Is there a package with tickets that is better at Swan/Dolphin or any other Disney property (probably 4 or 5 nights and we like to hop, possibly doing the parks only 3 or 4 days)? It's been a while since we did Disney. Universal seemed easier to figure out.

I think that you will get your best discount at S&D. Have you looked at the discount section on the home page? You can get a quote from Dreams and then make your decision.

If you can get a good teacher's discount at the S/D, grab it. You basically get a deluxe resort for the same price as a moderate Disney resort. The location of S/D is the best. Even if you decide to go with a Disney resort, it's cheapest to buy your park tickets seperately. There are some good discount ticket brokers, like ticketmania.com and Maple Leaf tickets. If you sign up for the Mousesavers.com newsletter, you get additional discounts on the already discounted tickets.
