Room only discount code club

Yeah, my fingers are crossed, too.

My TA told me on Friday that she was expecting some discounts for my dates (Nov 4-8) this coming week, although the rumors seem centered around Free Dining. Doubt we'll get enough value out of that, as a room discount at Wilderness Lodge would work out better.

I'm waffling between the Wilderness Lodge (where I have a AAA rate booked) and jumping over to the Hilton Bonnet Creek . . . I've heard good things about the Hilton (though I need to add all that parking $ to my comparison numbers!).

I have recently found Hilton Bonnet Creek on Last Minute Travel for early Nov for $106 per night plus taxes and parking if you have a car. Not sure if there is a resort fee or not.

I'm currently booked with a 40% off pin, but because of black-out dates, the pin does not cover all my nights. I would really like to get the blacked-out $467/night ($415 + tax) at YC down. Hoping for a 40% GP code valid on all dates (am I dreaming?).

disney never has more than two discounts at the same time so I am thinking sometime after the 13th of this month...

How did you receive the pin ?popcorn::

The last three years, we have booked with 40% off room only the week before Christmas. We stayed club level each time. Really, really, really, hoping for the same this year. This is actually the earliest I have planned a trip. In past years, the discount was already in place by the time I was ready to book. This year, I am going with another family so even 30-35% off would be great (we are splitting one room for 5 people).

I will be on a Disney Cruise in mid-August, so with my luck that is when the discount will come out and I won't be able to jump on it right away.

I'm personally quite perturbed....GRRRR.... I'm basically to the point to where I am willing to save the money and stay off property if no discount or pin is released for my dates (10/18 to 10/22). Yep, I'm not in a Disney mood at the moment :(

I think FD would be great if you plan each meal with detail. I like to have some dinning booked so we can eat at a certain place. I can't do each day and night. So i already booked my room in January when they had room discount. I did have to change my dates. The funny thing is FD being offered is on the dates I could not use the Room Rate for.

I received a 40% off Pin Code back in January. I don't think I will see anything better.

We are hoping for a room discount for next May as we would love to stay at the Poly but will only be able to do so with a 40% off. In the past we have enjoyed free dining and Kids play free but for next year, we really need the room discount. It would make us happy campers for our 10th wedding anniversary.

Yeah our dates are blacked out for FD as well so we we are hoping for a room only discount.

subbing....

Have room booked at ASM, Nov 6th-13th. Hoping and praying for a room only discount as we'd upgrade to DELUXE - possibly even club level. This is an adult only trip with my hubby and my parents. Can't wait!

Hello, It's been a while since I posted and apparently lots has changed! If you don't mind, please bear with me and answer a few questions as I try to decipher what everyone is saying...

First, what does ARD, GP and ADR mean? Does FD mean Free Dining?

How do you get a PIN attached to your name and how do you know about it? Do you just call Disney and ask "Do I have a discount pin?"

If a room only discount is what you need to book a room, isn't it more likely to appear with fewer rooms booked? So, and I'm just wondering, what is the point of booking a regular price room before the discounts are available? Right now, I am waiting to see if there is a discount to see if the trip is possible. Should I have a regular price room booked? I'm confused.

What are the chances of discounts during Christmas week (not for me, but my sister and family are going during the holidays).

I am planning either late October or early November or early December, depending on prices. I wish that I knew more so that I could book airfare and start to plan.

Thanks for your help.

How do you get a PIN attached to your name and how do you know about it? Do you just call Disney and ask "Do I have a discount pin?" You can call and ask if you have a PIN and if you're not in their system, they'll add you then so you'll be more likely to get one. Rumors have it that you can also sign up on the website, create and save vacations, order customized maps, and order the vacation planning DVDs to up your chances!

You can do either. You can book now at rack (regular) rate and call back to add a discount or PIN or you can wait to book until there's a GP (general public) discount.

What are the chances of discounts during Christmas week (not for me, but my sister and family are going during the holidays). Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but considering Christmas-New Years is the busiest time of year for the parks I wouldn't expect there will be a discount.

I am planning either late October or early November or early December, depending on prices. I wish that I knew more so that I could book airfare and start to plan.

Kerplop,

Do you call the reservations at Disney for the pin? Is it 1-800-WDISNEY?

Thanks again,
Babsy

My TA said they are releasing some PINs through September mailing but she didn't know what the offer was going to be...

Give this page a try and pick the number that works best for you! I have called the top one for Vacation Packages and they're the ones I talked to about a PIN. :thumbsup2

We got a PIN for our dates in December (valid 1st-22nd), but we're holding out for FD. It was 30% off across the boards.

I know this is a thread about a room only discount, but if I might ask a question or two about DDP and hopefully confirmation that we're doing the right thing. We have never done the DP and this is why: 1) Most mornings, we eat breakfast in the room, i.e. pop tarts, cereal and milk, DH's oatmeal! Occasionally, DD and I will go to the quick service counter and get a sweet roll or something small like that. 2) We eat mostly counter meals, but say over a seven day trip we'll eat three table service meals. 3) We usually spend one day offsite and go to the beach. So all that said, would you agree that we're better off not doing the DDP? As I mentioned, we don't do all counter, but we also don't eat sit down once a day.

Then on another note, I just called Disney to ask if we have a PIN. We do not :confused3. But she did confirm all my information, which was correct. What are the odds that a PIN will magically appear today? Not likely, but a girl can dream. We have never gotten a PIN and we have been going yearly or so for the past 17 years. Maybe that's the problem; they know we're coming PIN or not.

We are going in Oct and in Jan. I am not to hopeful about any sort of code for Oct (columbus day weekend) but could really use a room discount in Jan. ( we are staying at the BC). I am a AP holder and have TiW so free dining would be worthless to me.
