My husband has a business trip coming up and we are thinking of leaving the kids and coming alone. Any guesses about whether there will be room only codes coming out next week. We have days left on our passes and won't be there long enough for FTP. It is time for some new codes, I hope. I don't want an AP since we just got back in May from AKL and RPR and won't go again til sometime next year. Comments...?

I would tend to doubt it. With so many of the resorts really cranking during the summer I don't think Disney feels they'll have to do room only special rates. That's what we were going to do too, but jumped on the FT bandwagon since we'll be there 8 nights. Hope something good comes your way so you can go too. Maybe an off-site resort would work?? Good luck.

I agree, I don't think there is a chance at all for room only codes for awhile. The only time not covered by the FTP is from Thanksgiving to NewYears and I think they do pretty well during that time as everyone wants to see the holiday decorations. I would almost say codes for rooms are done until close to the end of the year which will be for early January check ins.

I wouldn't count on it, but...

If I check room only availability for the week that I am going (first week of August) the only resorts NOT coming up as available are BCV and BWV (oh, and of course POR - FQ). FTP was limited to a "block" just like other discounts, so anything is possible.

And we have been able to get a room only discount between Thanksgiving and Christmas for the past few years.

I called a few days ago to get a price for 4 nights at Beach Club in October. The CM quoted me the Disney Club discount and told me that sometime next week a discount for Disney Visa cardholders would be coming out. So I'm waiting to see what that'll be:) .

But I am a Florida Resident!;) I saved 33 dollars a night using the code.;)

for a room only code myself. BRING BACK THE ROOM ONLY CODES DISNEY! (I happen to know that the marketing folks watch these boards)

This FT plan isn't for us because we don't go to the parks every single solitary day. Plus, we like to save unused days for little short spur of the moment trips. I'm so bummed about the lack of resort only codes, to the point where it is going to have a negative impact for us...meaning we aren't going without a room only discount. I'm kind of bummed, sorry to be so negative. We really really really enjoyed those codes. Of course, I can't complain because I've already been once this year so I'll shut up. A friend of mine who is a CM got us a 50% discount. I just don't want to ask her again this year and seem like a pain in the rump.

Here's hoping that a Disney Visa cardholders code will come out soon!

Dear Disney, We need a code for people from Kansas, Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Disney,

Please treat GA residents like FL residents as Universal does. We really would appreciate it. The FTP does not apply for those with AP's that can not always stay that long. We need a Room Only Code for September.

Thank You,

PamDC, we are in a situation like you. We need a room only code, because we are AP holders and have been for several years. We go to WDW 2 to 4 times a year, staying on property, for at least 7 nights per trip. So far, the AP people, have been playing second fiddle, to the people that go to WDW once in a lifetime or once every 2 or 3 years. We know four families, that went to WDW, for the first time last year. They enjoyed the trip, but none plan on going back in the near future. I phoned them about the FTP and they weren't interested. I know WDW needs new customers and FTP is a good way to get them, I'm truly happy for the people that it helps and some will become regulars at WDW, but most, probably won't.

I received my MBA several years ago, but I don't think marketing has changed that much. A business makes sure they keep their regular customers, because it's harder to replace that person. The bird in the hand story. I have a feeling WDW will come through with room only discounts for us loyal guests.

With the discounted hotel rooms and cheap airline fares, I think it is going to be hard, for many of us, to pay rack hotel rates again and full price for air.

We have AP's, DC, Disney VISA and are Indiana residents.

Waaah! We never get anything here in lonely Massachusetts. Right, New Englanders! Of course, I can wait until one for my trip in April -tehe!

Anyone here tried to get a AAA room only discount in the last few days? A couple of weeks ago a CM told me she "thought" they would be out on June 26,2003. I haven't called yet, we are in the middle of refinancing our house and do not want to touch any credit cards right now. There was also a hint that the Visa card discount was going to be better than the AAA discount. I specifically asked whether that would be a package or room only and she insisted the Visa discount coming out would be room only. Much of what I have been told by CM's so far has been either wrong or half right. And the wait goes on.......momoftwins, I am from Mass also and going in April, the 25th, when are you going?

We are going 4/18 - 4/25. This is when our schools are closed. FYI, the 18th starts the "regular season" rates. So at least we do not have to pay peak rates next year!

Feefee white- We live in Alabama. You would think that Georgia, Alabama and Tennesee would get codes, because we can easily drive to Disney. I really hope they come through soon!!!

My mom called a few days ago to book the WL for 5 nights Nov26-Dec 1 (over the holiday). Before she hung up, the CM reminded her to call back when the discounts come out!

I hope that Disney doesn't limit their room only codes to Disney Visa holders. I don't have one, nor do I want one, nor will I accept one if offered.

That said, I booked what I could afford for my December trip, but discounts and codes would sure give me some extra spending money! We did get room-only discounts last year during the same first two weeks of December.
