Room only better than AAA package

Just wanted to let everyone know that I got some quotes from AAA for a package (room + tix, NO DINING) for late july into aug and they were higher than if I booked a room only off the AAA website and bought my tix at ticketmania...

So remember to check all possible ways you can save!

Yes that can work to your advantage. We did not want the dining pkg. so we went with the AAA discount room only and bought tickets thru ticketmania. I believe it was a good savings for us. I did not change to the pkg. deal that offered free waterparks and hopping because I would have lost the room discount and that was worth more savings than the free hopping. Besides we had left over plus features we will use for water parks. Lots of ways to book. Just wish a general public room only code would have come out for my dates.... oh well.

It was offered a month or so ago, for those traveling thru March (8th, maybe). It is over now.

Yup that's right. It had to be booked by mid-dec if I'm remembering right.

pdmeroc - I've posted this in another thread, but just a heads-up - I called the other day to check rates and found out there was a pin code attached to my name. On the other thread, someone figured out that the deal they were offering me through the pin code was basically an extension of this upgraded ticket package deal. If you've already booked through CRO, you may want to call and just ask if you might have a pin code attached to your name that could be applied to your trip in June. It was kind of weird. I never got an e-mail, letter, nothing, just called to check rates for the spring and the CM said, "oh, you have a pin code!"

ericafny - thanks for this! We did an AAA package in Dec. and I thought I was getting the best deal! I had even researched the trip for about 6 months. Boy, live and read the DIS boards and learn!! I am now piecing together the components of our fall trip, and like you, will go AAA room-only discount (possible AP if the codes come out and work for us!) and ticketmania tickets!

No problem! I too am considering the AP, as it seems the discounts for the hotel are WELL worth it!
