Room Only and possible annual pass

Hi.

We always have done packages, but I just want to see if I understand this correctly - We will book room only and pay for 1 night at that time. If an annual pass discount comes out, I can add that and get the annual pass before I check in at the hotel. I also want to get a Tables in Wonderland card - I guess I can get that when I go to the park to get my annual pass. I pay for all nights when I check in at the hotel. Can I pay for the room only before I arrive? Can I pay with a bunch of Disney Gift Cards before I arrive or when I arrive?

Yes, you can pay for the room in full prior to arrival using gift cards or cc . Gift cards can also be used to pay the balance at check in. Keep in mind that an AP discount (or any other discount) can be applied to an existing reservation as long as the resort/room type you have booked is available under that discount. Having a reservation already in place does not guarantee a discount can be applied, so sometimes you have to be flexible with your resort. Also, if you choose to pay your balance at check in with gift cards, it's probably best not to do online check in. People have reported that a cc must be left on file to complete the process and they noticed their cc was charged the balance of the room prior to their arrival.

You can have an AP room rate discount applied to the room portion of a package. However, you can only have one discount on a reservation so if there's already another discount/special such as free Dining you'll have to do the math to see if FD or a room rate discount works better.

I think AP discounts do have black out dates like other promos/discounts. Only 1 person on the reservation needs to have an AP to qualify for an AP discount .
