We have two separate back to back room only nights booked at BC. We added a night to our package. Then later we added another night.
Our package is at AKL so we'll be moving over there after the BC.
My question is, will they make us pack up and re check in or can we just stay in the same room for 2 nights?

They will try to keep you in the same room. You can call to ask or you can wait until arrival. Both nights must be for same room type.

I have had both happen - if you booked exactly the same room category they will try and keep you in the same room but sometimes they can't. When you check in the first night remind them you have a continuing reservation and would like to keep the same room.

You will have to check out and check back in either way so I suggest going to the front desk as early as you can on day 2 to check out/in and reminding them about keeping the same room.

We have done this a number of times and had to move twice. Another time we were able to stay in our room but also assigned a new room so pay attention to the room ready texts as that was painful to fix......

I think I should cancel them and rebook for 2 nights. I really dont want to pack up and move our luggage to the front desk just to move to another room later in the day. We plan on going to the pool and will need to shower and change when we're done. If the room isn't ready that won't work.
Thank you for letting me know 😊

Oh yes - if there is availability for 2 nights I would definitely rebook! If your going to a park on move day then moving isn't that much of an issue - but if your planning to enjoy the resort then being without a room is a hassle.

In my case I either couldn't find a 2 consecutive night reservation or there was a change in rates I wanted to take advantage of.

You may want to add "continuing reservation" and then the reservation of the other reservation to each of the single night reservations. When you check into the resort on the first night, see if you are blocked into the same room for both nights. They may be able to fix it if you aren't. You may need to check out and check back in again.

We added a extra night at start of stay and ended up ringing up after a tip from here and making it a ticketless dining plan for that one night . Took 3 calls to get someone that knew you could book a ticketless dining plan. Dining plan have to be booked for the whole booking number and as its just one night you have from 9am first day to midnight next night . Saved us a few $100 dollars as we got refill mugs for the rest of stay . We did a character meal as our sitdown which almost cost more then kids price by it self. Snacks we used for lunch at epcot flower festival some worth $9 . Quick service credits we used all of them on adult meal and split some with kids like the bbq place at animal kingdom.
We just sent fax room request from a website to disney that our main room request was to have same room number .ended up with probably the best room in our level (pool/waterview)

Thankfully, I was able to cancel one of the reservations and add a day to the other one and keep the discount!
@Thecouch you brought up a good point about adding the dining plan. I'm going to do the math but I think it would save us money to add it to our two nights. Thank you!
