Room # notifications - MDE vs text message

I was just wondering what everyone's recent experiences have been with notification of their room number via finding it in MDE vs. receiving a text message. We're flying in tomorrow and I'll be checking MDE compulsively for our room number!

Last two years, we got it via text while on the ME on the way to BC. This year, we had to hang around the club at AKL for a long time before our room was ready and a CL CM finally gave us our room number. So far, we have never had it show up on MDE.

It didn't go live in the app until April so it should show up there on your next visit.

Not sure because my fiance is who got it but I think so. We got our room # in april but we did in person check in so it was at the same time as they told it to us. Last weekend we did online check in and got the email while still at our work desks we had to wait almost 12 hours to fly to Orlando and actually get to our room haha. I was on the app just checking FPs for the next day when I saw our room number was already there.

We checked in just after the new service went live last month. I was monitoring specifically to watch for when the room number appeared in comparison to when the text came in. I got the text first. Then the room number was populated in the app.

I never got any notices via email. When I complete online check in I opt for text not email.

I was compulsively checking MDE on our drive down last weekend and never saw anything there, nor did I get a text. Made sense when we got there - our room wasn't ready until 4:30.

We had our room number when I checked the app this morning (9 ish), and got a text and email about 3 p.m. telling us it was ready.

I was not aware you could look on MDE for it.
I've only seen the option for text and email.
I've done it both ways and have received the info prior to arriving at the resort.

Wow! I haven't heard you can get room # on APP. Our last visit was August. This is good news for those of us who don't live in the US, so don't get room ready texts. We have to check in at desk, also to pick up MBs. Our Poly visit we got a good laugh, we were in our room for 3 hours when we finally got the room ready email

One time I got my room number on MDE, but never got notified through text message. I would have never known if I hadn't looked at my MDE app.

Thanks all - I just checked MDE and now it shows where the room number will be posted and says "Check back later for room number"! On our way to airport - maybe we'll have it before flight but if not, oh well!

I will also say, if it doesn't show up by the time you get to the resort, I would still try and check-in. There have been times that we have showed up at 10 a.m, and we were able to get a room then. Nothing had showed up in MDE or through text by that time.

On the page for your resort reservation. There's nothing there now but on your arrival day a new area will appear that shows a room number

It magically ends up in the spot that originally said "Choose magicbands" as you get closer that goes away and becomes room number.

You are not given your assigned room number until it's ready to be occupied. So it's ready to be occupied

Ok, follow-up! When we landed at 11:45 I found 2 texts sent 40 and 20 minutes prior. The first said our room wasn't ready yet, the second said it was and gave the room number. I received a room-ready email shortly after. So when DME dropped us off we walked straight to our room. As of 6:20 pm, MDE still says "check back later"!
