We are staying at BWV in a studio with a garden/pool view.

What is your opinion of the room locations at BWV?
Is there any downside to requesting a room close to the elevators?
Any areas that are louder than others? (People walking/talking in the hallways)

Are there any room locations that I want to avoid, and why?

What is your preferred room location and why?

We have stayed at BWV many, many times, so I will tell you what are our preferences--since you asked. ;)
Our hands down, favorite, favorite villa at BWV is a boardwalk view villa. We just love them and to us are definitely worth the pts. The view from these villas is one of the very best from anywhere on WDW property. We always get a boardwalk view villa, whenever we can.
Our next favorite location would be the village green villas. These are the villas that face the grassy area between the boat dock and the steps. Very nice location.
We also like the villas that face the quiet pool and community hall, another very nice area.
Our least favorite preferred view villas are those facing the main pool--too noisey.
The standard view villas that we prefer are the ones located down by the tennis courts. They are a walk from the elevator but worth it for the view and quiet location.
The only downside to requesting to be close to the elevators is if you are in a standard view. The rooms closest to the elevators are also closest to the front entrance where the valet parking is, the DCL buses pull up, the ME loads and unloads, etc. Very busy place, indeed.
It is a great resort, have a great trip.
