Room location question

Hi! I booked a week at POR with FD with a garden room location. I decided to add a day before but I couldn't add it with FD so I did room only with a UOC, but I was only able to get a preferred location.
I want to request that if possible I could have the same room for both reservations, but I'm not sure if a garden room and a preferred room can be the same room...

It can't hurt to ask at the front desk when you arrive, or you can call in advance and ask.

I would call and ask ahead of time. If you explain the situation they might be able to help you change that one night reservation to the correct room classification so you don't have to move. Or they might be able to somehow link them so you don't have to move. If you do have to switch then you at least know ahead of time when you pack to put one day's clothes and toiletries at the top of your suitcase. You can also see if the swap is necessary if they can put the two rooms somewhat close together at the resort. That way the day of checkout and check in one of you can run to the lobby while the other stays at the room with the luggage. I find those vans to move you around the resort and bell services can have long waits in the morning so it would help if you can just walk from one room to the other.
