Room location @ AKL?

Hi there

We're booking a 4 night stay at the AKL next July. We're paying additional for the Savannah rooms.

Wondered if you can advise where is a good location to ask our travel agent to put in a request for us?

Ideally we'd like to be where there are hopefully lots of animals to see from our view as we've paid for the view, but also fairly close to the central area / lobby / bus stops / restaurants etc.

I'm not sure which specific parts of the AKL are best for this and we're making the request to the travel agent on Monday when she confirms and takes the deposit!!!

I know requests aren't gauranteed but would like to add one all the same.

To me the ideal location is Arusha Savannah, Zebra Trail, 3rd floor. That is where we were located, and saw plenty of animals each day. We were on the same floor as the lobby, and the same side of the resort as the restaurants. Perfect!

Not sure of the room number exactly, but in February we stayed in what I thought was a great location. When you walk through the lobby, hang a right, go down about a dozen doors, and our room was on the left. The pool view rooms were across the hall, and the Mara was essentially below us. We were right by the elevator to the pool and the Mara and not far from the lobby, so I thought this was a great location. The AKL is awesome, but is very spread out and we were right in the heart of it.

Enjoy the AKL, it is a great place.

Zebra Trail on Uzima Savannah will give you a great view of the animals without looking at the constructions or being around it which is on the other side of the resort. Refer to the map in this illustration: http://www.wdwinfo.com/maps/DAKLMap.pdf

I have emailed our travel agent this morning and requested a room on the Zebra trail fairly close to the lobby area.
I'm so excited!!!
