Room Key/Ticket Question

We are going to WDW in May for a five night stay at PO-FQ. We are, however, only going to the parks for four days. We are planning to purchase our tickets from an on-line ticket broker in order to save money. We are planning on getting the 10 day MYW tickets with parkhopping w/no expiration in order to save money on a per day basis, and also have 6 days left for a future trip (hedge against inflation). Is there any way PO-FQ guest services can put the days I want on the tockets so that all we will have to do is briong the room key to the parks? Or will we have to bring both the room key and the tickets? It would be very convenient to do the former. Does anyone have a similar experience with extra days on park tickets? Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, they can put the tickets on your resort ID but you cannot choose how many days. The entire ticket must be put on.

huh? i belive the op wants to know if he buys tickets from a ticket broker (i.e. ticketmania/mapleleaf/undercovertourist/etc) can *those* tickets be transferred to his room key so as not to have to carry two things per person (key and ticket media)... i would love to know the answer as well because we are planning to do the same thing (i think!)...

does anyone know?

I don't think that can be done but maybe some else knows 100% for sure.

We were just at the Poly before Easter. The guest services counter at the Poly upgraded our kid's "paper" base 7 day MYW tickets with hopping privileges and coded them onto their room keys. (The adult tickets were purchased from the CRO in advance and were already coded onto the adult's room keys at check-in).

After 5 nights, we moved to AKL. When we checked into the AKL, they transferred the unused admissions from our old Poly room keys onto our AKL keys. I assume that if you have unexpiring park passes and leftover days after checking out, the information remains on the room keys until you either use the admissions or transfer them to your room keys on a future visit.

i think the difference might be that the tix you had (mech8t7) were "from" disney whereas the op (and me) are asking about tix bought thru another vendor...

Two of our MYW tickets (the adults') were from Disney whereas the other two MYW tickets (the kids') were obtained from a third party.

The OP asked "Is there any way PO-FQ guest services can put the days I want on the tockets so that all we will have to do is briong the room key to the parks?"

I understood that to mean that he was looking to put only a certain amount of days on the resort ID, not the full ticket. He did say he was going for 5 days and buying a 10 day MYW ticket. Otherwise he would have asked "can they put this ticket on the resort ID".

Either way he meant it, I answered it correctly. ;) Doesn't matter where the tickets were purchased anymore.
