We plan on getting a studio at OKW for an upcoming trip in April. Is there room for a twin size aero bed? Before anyone jumps to conclusions...the reason we need one is because my kids (DD, DS) are getting too old to share a bed and I, on the otherhand, still want to bunk w/DH. I know a 2bdrm would be ideal but we'd rather go for more days and "rough it" in a studio.

I'm one of those dreamers that really wishes they would create some 1bdrm's that had two queens instead of a king! But, I'm also realistic enough to realize how many people would take advantage of it and pile people in like sardines. :(

Well, barely. While OKW has more room in their studios, it's very cut-up, due to the lay-out of the room, so that if you use an aerobed on the floor, you won't have room to walk. This arrangement wouldn't be my choice. You're the one who needs to decide if you can stand to pick up the aerobed every day.

Yes there is we have used a twin size air mattress in the studios at OKW BWV and VWL. It went beside the pull out in the studio @ BWV VWL and it went by the door to the balcony in OKW.

It will be fine. Like someone said the room is kind "Cut up" but with an Aero bed you can deflate or stand it on it's side when whoever is not sleeping. If you move the table a little it will fit against the wall by where the door would be for the lockoff (not the door to the outside).

Thank you for the replies. It sounds like it is possible, but may not be the best option. I'll have to see if I can come up with Plan "B". :flower:

An aerobed may slide right under one of the queen beds when not in use. The OKW studio beds sit higher than other resort beds.

Plenty of room for an aero, even the larger sizes I think. It will work fine. I wouldn't worry about it! :goodvibes

I agree with Shan.....we used a double-sized air mattress in an OKW studio before.

Yep a twin-size will fit just fine! We did the same thing last year when all we could get for our last-minute trip was a studio. We have an aero-type bed and we put it either between the bed and the patio doors, or at the foot of the bed. The only problem with putting it at the foot, is that we had to be careful not to step on DS if we got up in the middle of the night! We never even deflated it during the day....it just slid right under one of the queen beds.

Have a good trip!
Sammy

Right there with ya on that dreaming of a one bdrm with 2 queen beds...DH and I would give it up on the chance we decided to take a friend for DS...boys! They just can't sleep in the same bed once they are teens...

I think you'll be okay with a twin aerobed in the studio...it will be cramped for middle of the night trips to the potty. You could try moving the table and chairs around to make it fit better. We slid our suitcases under the beds so they were out of the way so the aerobed might fit there while you don't need it or just prop it against the wall.

Best of luck!

A twin aerobed between the bed and the balcony door would be just fine and no one would get stepped on either.
