room credit

I'm afraid this is a stupid question, but I'm going to ask anyway. Thanks to the AP rates that were released today (yipee!) I now have a small credit on my room at the Pop. Am I right to think that now I just have some extra that I can charge against my room? What happens to it if I don't spend it? Will they give me my money back automaticaly, or do I need to ask? I have never had this happen before. I think I like it!

Did you pay for the entire room at one time? Normally they just take the deposit and then the credit could be used for the rest of the room. If you don't use it then on check out they'll refund it to your card. BF and I had a 1 night room once and then got AP rate and had a credit and we had no problem spending it, but we do room charging.

We are changing resorts after 1 night, so I now have overpaid that ressie by just a little. But I'm sure I can find something to spend it on.
