Room charges ?

I just got back from staying at HRH and maybe I'm used to other places I've stayed but we didn't get a bill for our rooms and what we have charged to the room when we checked out. I left a cc on the acct but nothing has been applied to it yet. We left last Friday.

There are a few ways you could have kept track of what was being charged to your room before you left. We generally check out using their interactive method on the television in the room. It lists all the charges and then you can click the "check out" button just before you check out of the room.

Normally they slip the bill under the door sometime in the middle of the night on check-out day. Then you can just drop this piece of paper in the express check-out box in the lobby or you can take it to a clerk at the checkin/checkout desk.

It should tell you on the papers you got at check-in how they want you to check-out.

My last two trips the bill under the door has stopped. Like damo said, you could have followed on the TV to track charges and to check-out. However, more than a few times I haven't checked out and they just charged the CC on file. Another time when I got home I saw a discrepancy and we handled it via email.

If you would like the bill just call and they can email or fax it to you.
 

My last stay they didn't put the bill under the door, they emailed it to me.
 
The past few trips we have made I receive an email in the early morning hours with the final bill. It's always zero, since we pay cash at checkin fir the room and cash for everything we do during our stay. This is the easiest way to keep in your budget, no surprise CC bills later.

I don't believe you had to tell them when you checked out but I think they prefer you check your account before you leave.

You would have received paperwork with all of the check-out information and options. Check the package of stuff you received when you checked in. That information about all the options is written there. It may say that they will email you the details unless you ask for a paper account. We've also received the emails in the past.
 
Ok I found the email with the charges, however they still show a balance. I contacted the hotel and the girl I spoke with said it was ok I didn't checkout that housekeeping would have notified them. She had no explaination why the cc has not yet been charged. I wonder if I should just wait or is there another route cuz the person I spoke with didn't seem very concerned that I might still have a balance due.

Could be a bank delay or a hotel delay. Give it a few days and I imagine it will show up on your credit card online statement. Just make sure that the charges to your room were all legitimate charges. The balance will just all be put on your credit card that you gave them when you checked in.
 
Yes all the charges on the statement match up to my receipts so no problem with that. I'll just wait and see.
