Room charge at sit downs - tips?

Leaving in two days and can't remember for the life of me if we have ever used our room charge for sit down meals before (we will be this time) - are tips handled the same way as they are with credit card? (they charge your room and then give you a slip that you write in tip/sign) Or should I just bring enough cash to tip w with?

You can tip with your room card just like using your credit card.
