I currently have a split stay upcoming at the BWV over the holidays. I have a 2BR Boardwalk view for the first night, then over to a 1BR Boardwalk view for the second night and then back again to the 2 BR Boardwalk view for the remaining nights. I have been waitlisted for the a 2 BR for the one night since day one but nothing has cleared yet so I'm guessing I'll have to swap rooms but then I got to thinking. Since the 2BR at BWV are lock offs is it possible to just stay in the 1 BR side for that night in the middle so I don't have to move everything in and out of the room or will they force me to pack, move and unpack. And I guess who could I make a request to, should it be through DVC or directly to the Boardwalk? Anybody have any experience with this?

I would make the request to MS and to BWV operations/room assigner, if you can find a way to contact them.

All calls to the resorts go to a call center, even when placed from the room phone. Last month when I tried to contact the Front Desk from the room, I was told by the call center that they wouldn't connect me. :sad2:

Make the request thru MS - to have it noted on your reservation(s) and then again make the request at arrival. In this situation, as long as they have a guest with a BW view Studio for that one night, they should be able to accommodate the request.

Good luck! :)

KEEP CALLING MS about your waitlist! Call every day and maybe more often as your stay approaches. I was waitlisted for one day in the middle of my stay also (Dec. 30) for almost 11 months. A DIS friend called to get a reservation for that date and got the exact room I needed on his first call (this happened within the past 2 weeks). He then called me to let me know that cancellations must have happened. No room for me--I was still waitlisted. I have learned my lesson: I will call and ask to have the CM at MS check for a room, NOT simply ask if my waitlist has cleared. MS admitted that there are tech issues with the waitlist. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice, now a really stupid question, what is MS is that the central number I call to make my reservation?

You may want to check if your 1 bedroom is lockoff or dedicated. If it's dedicated and they don't have a lockoff available, you will have to move.
