Room change every night/ 4 night stay???

Never done that, but I'm going to echo what others have said about if you are going to the parks, this sounds a lot better than if you aren't. Our last trip was a split stay (2 nights at each), and honestly it was just as easy as if we hadn't done a split stay because we just drove to the new hotel when we left the park that day - we got there around 10 PM and they brought the bags up to our room about 10 minutes later. We are about to head down the week of Christmas for 2 nights (also a split stay because there was nothing consecutive available). As long as you have something to occupy you outside of your room every day, then I don't think you would actually mind very much (and as a bonus, you'll get a clean room every day!). If you are going to have a car, I might consider just packing 4 separate bags so you don't have to worry about luggage since people seem to have had mixed experiences with the luggage being delivered to the room.

I think the idea of a clean room every day is the one saving grace in all this!!

He is a parks guy.

Send him off to the parks each morning and you take care of packing and having the bags moved. Then meet up with him at the park, and get on the appropriate bus to go to the new resort the next day. That way you both get almost all of what you want, and he doesn't have to worry at all about the moves.

I tend not to like split stays, but I've learned I dislike long commutes on Disney property even more. So for our next trip, we are doing a 3-way split: 2 nights at AKV, 2 nights at CCV, and 2 nights at SSR. We will have our own car which will help in moving luggage. Our first full day at AKV, we are doing AK in the morning and Epcot in the evening. Next day, we will switch to CCV. We will do DHS and MK. It will be so nice to take the boat from MK to CCV rather than take the bus from MK to AKV! The third day we plan to just hang out at the resort. WL is our favorite, so it will be nice to have time to enjoy it. On our day we switch to SSR, we are driving to the Daytona 500, so we will be gone all day anyway. We will come back to SSR that evening, and our final full day will be spent at DS. All of that to say, just plan your parks around where you are staying, and the time you save in transportation will trump the time wasted in packing up. Definitely do separate bags for each part of the stay!

I would stay offsite rather than doing this stay. There are lots of places really close that are nearly as good as staying on property. Personally, the Buena Vista Palace is something I would check out - walkable to Disney Springs, and right across the street from a Disney bus depot so you can get to the resorts easily to check them out. Or maybe the Dolphin/Swan, or a Bonnet Creek area property. What you are proposing sounds terrible to me - that's a lot of stress and wasted time moving around, and as others have noted, you won't be able to return to the room for a break when you change rooms. Doing it once in your trip is one thing; doing it daily is another. Personally, I would advise against this plan, particularly if your spouse isn't onboard.

We've done several split stays (7 or 8 days with the move in the middle) and enjoyed it very much. But this... nope.

Is it worth the hassle to move rooms/resorts every night?
I was wanting to do a “research trip” to decide where to buy. I would stay in one place, but all that’s available are single days. We are renting points from a friend. Can’t really move days because we have to wait for college daughter to get done with finals. I really want to go for Dec to see all the holiday excitement.

As far as I’m concerned, I would do just about ANYTHING to get to go to WDW. We are west coast. I could easily go to DL. It just doesn’t have the appeal that WDW has. My husband doesn’t like the idea of a split stay at all, but is willing if I insist. I told him it would be great research getting to stay at 4 different resorts. 😁😬
We have done the one day thing on each end of a longer stay and would not recommend it if it's your goal to experience the resort. I would stay a minimum of 2 nights at each to even hope to get a feeling but if your goal is just to get to wdw and have a place to lay your head at night go for it.

Given that she wants to do this trip in order to experience staying at several DVC resorts, that would make no sense.

Just going for a disney trip, sure. But she has a reason.

I did this in August this year - 4 nights, 3 resorts. I love split stays. Packing multiple times is no big deal to me, it doesn't have to be packed pretty. Leave enough room in your suitcase that you don't have to play Tetris every time and you can just toss everything in real quick when it's time to check out. The problem is that one night isn't enough to really experience the resort if you're doing anything else. I would just do the parks from 11-4 while you're homeless, and otherwise you should be at the resort, seeing everything there is to do. Participate in activities, visit community halls, swim, eat, do the outdoor movie & campfire, etc. I felt I wasted the experience last time as I didn't give myself enough time to actually enjoy each resort.

Keep in mind that your first night, coming from the west coast, you will get in late. So maybe use that night to explore the resort you are staying at.
The day you leave, you will likely be flying out early.
So this really limits your time if you hope to go to 4 resorts and theme parks as well.
I would do 2 nights and 2 nights, max. Just book a room through Disney. Or another thought would be to book 2 nights at swan /dolphin and you can easily walk to check out bcv/ bwv and then stil, have easy access to epcot and studios.

We did something similar back in January. Five DVC resorts in five nights. Old Key West, Copper Creek, Boardwalk Villas, Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo and Riviera Resort. It is a lot of work and very tiring. We did do a couple parks for a few hours each (we are AP holders). Went over to Epcot while we were at BWV and over to Hollywood Studios via the Skyliner when we were at Riviera.

Didn’t read all responses .
If it was me I would live out of my suitcase…. Get up early Uber to new hotel check in leave luggage and go to park….

unless they still transfer luggage to new resort and then even easier.

I’m ocd and never trusted that so Uber check in and move on to park and come back to new hotel.
Happy planning
