Has anyone else been notified that they have a stateroom change due to their assigned rooms not being completed before dry dock is finished?

We are on the 10/25/03 cruise and just got the call two days ago.
I am very possessive of "MY" stateroom and disappointed that I have to get another one.

Rae!

I can't help with you question, but I'm soooo glad to see you're back!:Pinkbounc

You were greatly missed! Group hug, everyone!:grouphug:

Thanks for the welcome!

I know that sounds petty but I really do like 5622 because there are no neighbors on the left side of me (just the tops of the lifeboats).......I try to believe that things happen for a reason and you can get blessings from your challenges, but I am feeling very childlike right now and want to kick my feet and scream (temper tantrum)!!

Hi again

I know what you mean about the rooms. We're like that too. We've had the same room for 2 trips and for the upcoming one.

Rae!
Sorry haven't gotten to my email. "Just" back from our 3 day---the surprise for the kids. Back to schooling (although everyone is still on island time!) and now I'm WAY viral. :(

Just wanted to say I'm glad you're here. I've missed your posts!

And I do know what you mean by being possessive of your room. We always book a certain room if it's available....if not, we book the next room down or across the hall. :)

Dont have any info on that but wanted to say

WELCOME BACK RAE!!!!!

SO GLAD YOU'RE BACK -- WE HAVE MISSED YOU!!!!!!!!!

I can't get the additional smiley window to open, so let me just say BIG GROUP HUG!!

What are they doing to the cabins such that some will not be finished??

"Welcome Back Kotter," oh no, that was a T.V. show from ages past, I mean a long time ago, being the age you are, I know you remember that show!!!

You've been missed, glad to see you back kiddo!!!

Sorry about your beloved 5622, what a bummer.

Welcome back Rae Did they offer you an upgrade or just an equivalent room?

wish we would get that news,
that stateoom 2080 was out and we have been upgraded to cat 4 lol we r on the first cruise after dry dock

peter

It only makes one wonder what else will not be completed after the dry dock? now I'm having second thought sas to the first cruise after dry dock?

maybe they'll upgrade you to the Walt or Roy suite... well, it is nice to dream... maybe the DAID will bestow upon you what they did for Andy & Nate~

I'd be bummed, Rae. I pick a specific stateroom for a reason and I'd feel extra bummed if I had to re-pick. I feel like I form a bond with the stateroom --- :( :headache:

Yes, there is definitely something wrong with me ;) :yo-yo:

:wave2: BTW -- Welcome back. I see you can type now!!!:wave2:

Rae,

I also have booked the same stateroom (on either side of the ship) for the last 3 years, so I can completely sympathize with you regarding the change. It is like your home away from home for a week. I also find it interesting that with still a week in dry dock, they already know that some things will not be completed?

:grouphug: Welcome back Rae! You have been missed by all here.

A thought just came to me Rae, maybe DCL is converting 5622 into the "Rae "junior" Suite???" :hyper: ::yes:: :hyper:

Just called DCL and told nothing was being done to staterooms on this dry dock, Carpet or anything. This was a pure common area refurbishment. She then went and verified with the Customer service and responded that internal disney emails have confirmed 100's of workers to ready the ship for oct 11 to be 100%. So either something on the outside is being done or below which requires the room to be vacant.??
My concern was my room is very close on the 10/11 and to check if our rooms had been switched.

Rae - do you know what room you will have? did you get an upgrade? we're on the 10/11 cruise so I wonder what will happen with us. an upgrade would be nice.:teeth:

(although I still talked with you privately it is so nice to have you back on the boards!)
What are they doing to the cabin that will not be completed by your trip? Did you get an upgrade? Hey if they want to work on my cabin I would happilly accept an upgrade...:hyper:
