We will be arriving on Thursday with a school group and our rooms were booked by our tour company. Because the rooms aren't in our name, does this mean we cannot book rides at 7am? Thanks!
Please look through that other thread that
@scrappinginontario linked, but here are the basics: The resort does have the names registered in each room. That's the way the travel company books it. BUT you can't link the reservation to
MDE, if only minors are in the room. That's a Disney rule/policy, not the travel company. If one or more person in the room is 18 or older, then you CAN link the room, if the travel company will give you the confirmation number. The number should be on the small manila envelope that you will get with the room keys, too. That's the way Disney prepares them.
There are three ways to book rides:
1. Purchase
Genie+ before 7:00 am, and you can book your first attraction at 7:00.
2. Virtual Queue, for Guardians of the Galaxy or Tron Lightcyle Run, on the day you have Epcot and MK park reservations, respectively, at 7:00 am.
Both of these have nothing to do with where you are staying. Every guest with a park reservation can book those two.
3. Purchase Individual
Lightning Lane, for Guardians, 7DMT, Tron, Flight of Passage, or Rise of the Resistance.
This is the only one that the timing is determined by where you are staying. Disney resort guests can book them at 7:00, others at park opening time.
