Hello!

I have a quick question. Do you have to have a Room Block?

Here is my situation: My entire family has timeshares and will be staying in them. We will also be providing accommodations within the timeshares for Chris's immediate family and our bridal party.

Honestly, that cuts down the possible guests that would stay on property from 60ish to about 30ish. Then that number gets probably reduced to 20 by the time you take the military members who are going to stay at Shades of Green. I honestly cannot see the 20 that's left staying on property or being there for long enough for us to meet a room block.

Any advice?

I believe that if you are having a DFTW, you have to have a room block. I could be wrong though. Good luck!!!

From all that I've read it is a requirement. I would ask the planner though. :)

The minimum number is 10 room nights (not 10 rooms, so it's pretty easy to meet), and your own stay counts. :thumbsup2

I do not have a room block. We were told we had to have a minimum of 10 nights in a Disney Resort to have the Wishes wedding..and 25 if we wanted a free night. But we did NOT have to do the room block. I wanted my guests to stay where they wanted. We already have over 25 nights and that is just our room and my immediate family!! :cool1:
