Room/Bldng Requests - Help me get it straight!

OK...think I'm going nutso with different bits of info about putting in a request for a room and a specific building! Pleeeeeaaseee help me straighten myself out!

OK...Our requests would only be for a non-smoking room and a specific building at POFQ, (which I'm not even sure if we'll want to request)....

1. Is calling CRO and adding a request onto our ressie the best way to ensure we get it?
2. Our scheduled trip is 6/7-6/14 - when should we put in our requests?
3. Any other request advice from requesting vets would be greatly appreciated!

I usually just ask them to note on the ressie (when I am making it) what my request is. They put it right into the notes. I know others say to fax your request a few days prior to arrival, I have never done that with Disney & 9 out of 10 times I have gotten my request just by stating it when booking.

Most resorts are ignoring faxes so just make sure your requests are noted in your reservation. You can do that at any time by calling central reservations.

We just mention our requests when we call to make the reservation. The only one we always get is N/S, but usually the other requests are met if possible. Just remember that they are requests no matter how you ask for them, not guaranteed.

3. Not really, just give all your requests to the CRO agent and they will put it on your reservation. Also when you check-in remind the CM behind the desk of your requests, sometimes if you didn't get put where you wanted to be they will move you if they can.

I do both- I have it noted on my reservation and fax a request. I figure the fax doesn't hurt anything- it only takes two minutes to do, if they ignore then oh well, i'm no worse off. -Steph
