My father, brother and I go every year to WDW. Usually we stay in either the Yacht Club, the Polynesian, or the Grand Floridian, but this past year money was a little short from remodeling the house, and when I visited home I was told we wouldn't be able to go...I was a little bummed, but it was no big deal. Well, my Dad sneaked in a trip to the World without telling my brother and me, so after a four hour drive that was very conspicuous, we were happily surprised to see WDW!
We ended up staying in the All Star Movie resort, and for the first time ever saw a towel animal-- A mouse to be exact! Our mousekeeper left us a Mickey head resting on the edge of our bed, which up until this point, we'd never even known about towel animals. So every night I was unbelievably happy to find new creations waiting for us!
Now, my brother is 22 and I'm 21...So we aren't exactly kids anymore, but the stuff we accumulate each trip to Disney seems to be very kid-ish. For example I always bring my Pal Mickey, and my brother and I both like the Star Wars toys, pin trading, and WDW autograph books.
Seeing as how we go every year and had never recieved one, maybe staying at a value resort does help? I wouldn't necessarily say that having kids items around does, because for every year prior to this one we had never known about them or seen them. Good Luck on getting yours and have a magical vacation!
