Room above restaurant

We have a RC cruise on the Indy for next June. I like to be able to pick my room but the only room left is 6400 which is above the restaurant.
Now I know rooms below the restaurant could be a bit loud but what about rooms above the restaurant. Is there a chance they could be loud.
If so I might just take my chances with my guarantee

I would be more concerned about rooms under a restaurant but not sure about above.

Personally if it were me, I would save the money and go guarantee if only option I had was above the restaurant, but that is me.

I have no experience with this on a cruise, however, I once had a hotel room right above the hotel restaurant. Noise was not an issue but the smell of cooking food from the kitchen did fill our room. It wasn't a bad smell, but it wasn't something I wanted my room to smell like for the duration of the trip. I don't know if this would apply in your situation or not, just something else to consider.

The noise from a restaurant below would be pretty limited for the most part. We have had a few different rooms under different public areas and some did have some noise but typically noise from below is possible but more rare. The exception is the suites on deck 8 on the Quantum class, with the Two70 shows and events sometimes bleed noise to those rooms above.

Any noise from a restaurant would be pretty limited to begin with and only during dining hours. With the exception of the final night farewell, there is little sound other than people chewing and chatting. Unless you are in the room sleeping at meal time or are a very light sleeper then things should be fine.

The post about smells is probably not an issue to worry about either. The galley where the food is cooked/prepared can be a little ways away from the actual dining areas. Not saying that you will never have any food smells but it will be very dependent on where the exhaust vents are and what way the winds are blowing. At sea the likely hood is that will be well behind the ship.

From what I can tell 6400is I’ve the main dining room. I highlight doubt there will be a noise or smell issue at all.
