I have stayed in 9664 on the Disney Dream, so it's pretty much identical. The main "issues" with the room pretty much all have to do with the verandah. The verandah wall is rounded on one side partially obstructing the view from inside the room.
The second issue is that there is a mechanical rig of some kind that has it's station right over that verandah. It's really only an issue if you are on the verandah looking up, but most of the time you're going to be looking out, down, or to the sides, not up. (With the sole exception being for the fireworks, best experienced topside anyway.) When they're cleaning the outside of the ship, that rig won't even be there.
Neither of those issues were even remotely a "problem" for my wife and I, and we booked before the room was downgraded. Since they've recategorized the room, I'd say it's a steal. These kinds of rooms are the best value on the ship.
Edit: Here's a photo posted by one of the other DIS'ers. As you can see, that rounding is VERY slight.
