Anyone stayed in 7122 on the Magic? We REEEEEEEEEEALLY wanted one of the old category 6 rooms (7520, 7120, 6634, 6134), but they were all booked. Big bummer!

Thanks!

We love out room 7127 which is cat. 11. I don't know what cat. yours is, but we enjoy the location near the "secret" deck on aft 7.

We have stayed in 7122 twice. Love the location, and for 3 people it is the perfect size!

7120 was our first "home" on the Magic. It is a lovely location - only a few steps from the secret deck and Topsiders. Would definately try for similar cabin another time. Nat:Pinkbounc

We always go with Category 7 on deck 7 and have stayed in 7122 once. I like this location on the ship the best for the reasons stated above. We've been in 7120 once and while it does give you a bit more of a view than the standard navigator's verandah, it's not a huge difference, IMHO. The room is exactly the same.

We were in 7120 this March. I humbly disagree with Lloyd. The fact you have the plexiglass railing and wide open makes a huge difference to me.
I loved 7120 and would like to get it again if available on another cruise.
Seeing as it is considered a Navigator's Verandah pricewise I think it is a steal.
I didn't know you had been in that room Natdencro. That explains all of the initials carved on the verandah wall :)

Cheers,
Grumbo

Has 7120 been changed from a cat. 5 to a cat 7? DH and I are planning on repositioning (if it happens) and I want to book a cat. 7 near the secret deck. Any suggestions?

Linda

No its not available for the West to East repositioning cruise lneeley ;)

Grumbo

East - West???
I don't plan on doing the East - West so sure :)
I was only saying it isn't available as I've got my eye on that cabin for the West - East :)

Cheers,
Grumbo

I figured that when I read your response! Just hope we have fast enough fingers to get it when the ressie's open! Good luck to you on your west-east plan!

donaldsgal - When are you planning to cruise?

My DS11 & are are staying in room 7120 for our first cruise together. I was wondering what kind of views we can expect...
say when we pull into St. Martin & CC or when we are leaving the ports, and maybe sunsets? Things like that.

At St Maarten it all depends which side of the dock you pull into. Last month we were on the right side as we pulled in and you faced the dock and across the bay. This view across the bay lasted 15 minutes until the next ship pulled in :)
At CC you look down at the dock. NOT the island. It is good for watching what is happening as stuff is unloaded and loaded. Also you can shout to the CM's that have their Mickey gloves on and waving goodbye at the end of the day. Great sunsets and sunrises.

Cheers,
Grumbo

Grumbo - Thanks. :sunny: OMG... I can't waite to go home and tell my son. I'm so glad we were able to get this room. Thanks again for sharing, Grumbo.
If you should happen to ever have the urge to share more...
Well, we're all ears :earsboy: :earsgirl:

I have a bunch of photos.
If you want to pm me your email address I'll send them to you of the room and some of the views.

Cheers,
Grumbo

What did you mean by wanting one of the old rooms? We are staying in room 7520 this weekend. Isn't the only difference in the staterooms location and size?

Darn: if I'd known you were in THAT cabin - I would have put itching powder on the matress!

We wanted that cabin! We had a deck 5 cabin in the end - above a lifeboat! Wish I had stowed away instead of heading home!

7120 is indeed a great cabin: but schhhhh, we want it next Feb! Nat:Pinkbounc

By "old," the OP means that there are 4 category 7 cabins which were re-classified from category 6 (6134 & 6634) and category 5 (7120 & 7620). So "the old category 6 rooms" means one of these rooms which was re-classified.

I guess I should clarify my comments that Grumbo disagrees with and say that for $600, the difference between the converted cabins and the standard category 7's isn't that great. That is to say, I'd still rather pay for a standard category 7 than pay more for a category 5. The difference in obstruction isn't a deal-breaker for me, but I do always shoot for 7120/7620 when I book. We're in 7120 for our next two cruises.
