Has anyone stayed in room 6008 and can tell me if it was noisy due to it being located over the Buena Vista Theater? Also, if you have stayed on deck six, were you able to see the lifeboats (from deck 5) from your veranda? I am hoping to have a clear view while we sit on the veranda of the water below. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure it is 6008 that you are questioning? I ask because 6008 is not over the Buena Vista theater and does not have a balcony...it is a Cat 8... We had 6002 and 6004 and did not have a problem with noise in these rooms. They are inside cabins, but I can tell you that the way the lifeboats are set up they will not block your view from any room on the ship. They are pushed in so they are flush with the side of the ship so no obstructions are caused by them.

If you did in fact type the wrong room number and you are over the Buena Vista theater we have also been in 6607 which is above the theater. That room was affect by the theater noise. However it was not bothersome. We honestly thought the neighbors had their radio up loud until we realized it was Tarzan playing in the theater. We heard the music, some of the louder scenes but it was never enough to bother us while we were in the room and it was not too early or too late that it affect our sleeping...

LibertyBelle,
Hi, yes, I did have a typo--it should have been room 6608. I hate to hear that you could hear the noise from the theater, maybe we should try to change rooms. Do you know how late the shows are? Thanks for your reply and the info on the lifeboats.

On our cruise last week, they showed a movie at midnight one night, but it was a prem-ear of "Miracle" - the majority of the late night movies seemed to be starting around 10:30? I'm not 100% sure because we could never find a moment to go see one! *sigh*

I guess I have to go back!!

::yes::

...and sorry to say, you could hear the loud parts of the movies. It wasn't that bad, just kind of that bass noise you hear when a car drives by with their stereo cranked.

We did switch to the other side of the ship for this cruise (leaving Friday for the 2/14 Magic - YAY!).

We were in 6610 and 6611. There was some kind of deep booming. We thought it may have been due to sound effects during the movie, specifically during "Pirates of the Caribbean". However it was more just a slight irritant, not something that kept you awake. You can see the lifeboats if you hang over the verandah. But they were below and did not block the view at all. The verandahs to the right and left were not blocked either. The only complaint was from the folks in the room aft of us, 6612 which connected to 6614. There was a child in 6614 who was awful and the occupants of 6612 could hear him all the time. 6608 does not connect and should not have this problem. Don't worry. You have a good location.

Oh, and when we were on the ship, most nights the movies were over by midnight. And we were up waaaayyy before any started for the day :)
