Room 5622

AWESOME stateroom! Deck 5 aft, and the first stateroom on the hallway so there is only one neighbor. Near the elevators and on quiet hallway.

I was in room 5622 for the two week repositioning cruise in May. I agree that the location is wonderful and convenient but I highly doubt that I will stay in that room again. It is located next to some sort of mechanical room and more often than not, the wall between 5622 and the mechanical room vibrated and buzzed. There were often rather loud mechanical/hydraulic type noises at all hours of the day and night. I know of at least a couple of occasions that the noises were so loud that our neighbors in 5624 called guest services about it. On several occasions it was loud enough during the night that it sounded like they were lowering lifeboats--of course when I went on the balcony to see what the ruckus was--there was nothing/no-one to see--the noise was all inside. By the way, I am a pretty heavy sleeper. Guest services and our stateroom host were never able to do anything about the noises--we were told that it is one of the risks of having an aft cabin.

We stayed in this room on the first west coast cruise and I agree with the previous post. Loved the location of this room but would not stay there again. The vibration noise kept us awake the entire first night. We complained on day 2 and they did fix it, but there is some sort of machinery that makes a very loud noise every 10 minutes or so. We booked again but not this cabin.
