No boardwalk view, a hike to the elevator, at least its shorter than the expidition style hike to the etd view last time. I know, there are lots of rooms farther away.....I feel even worse for them.

Last night my daughter slept on the pullout in the living room, this morning it wouldn't retract, called housekeeping at 8:00am, they said that they would take care of it. Got back to the room at 2:00, still sitting there half out, called maintainence this time, same woman answered, seemed surprised it wasn't done, will deal with it right away, back to the room at 4:00, still unretracted, called again, different person, sald they will take care of it, got back to the room around 8, done, thanks, that's where I am sitting now.

My sister in law's uncle died Friday, they aren't coming till Wednesday night, I am leaving Tues morning, sad, we are close and its been over a year since I've seen them.

My wife and daughter left for the regional championship horse show in Perry, Georgia this morning.

I AM ALL ALONE!!!!!!

This morning we all had breakfast at Spoodle, it was just OK, then I went to MGM, road RNRRC, Who wants to be...., got in a picture with a family of total strangers and bought it at the Dark Room store, thanks Jim and Julie.....I am going to make up a wild story about them to tell the wife and then show her this thread.

Had a few snacks, came back to the boardwalk(see above) went down to the BW for a while had some fun goofing on people, back to the room to check on couch, then over to epcot. SE, TT, Malestrom, both Inoventions, watched a full fountain segment, food, snacks, I sat with a nice family from Indiana at the English pub and had a great, super, fantastic meal of fish and chips, they had the brightest little six year old boy, a real poindexter, he reminded me of myself, more food and more snacks. The parks are empty, no waits, no fastpasses, they weren't needed.

I stayed away from and avoided anyone with an accent, especially orientals, sorry, but WDW is filled with recent world travelers.

Have you guys missed me????

Kind of cool how easy it is to internet from wherever you are. I will be leaving Tuesday afternoon, I will let you know what I idi tomorrow, tomorrow.

Stayed away from Orientals? Sweet.
BTW, RUGS are Oriental, not people.
Asian people. Not Oriental.
Why didn't you wear a mask?
Ridiculous.

Thanks for posting here about BWV (my favorite)(even though we will be in a GV at OKW SOON).Sorry to hear of your loss..hope you are not too lonely at least you are in DW while I am awaiting my turn..try to have fun while you are at BW as it is such an easy way to get to Epcot..Marianne :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Sorry, I apologize for watching the news.

I'm glad to hear that you're having a good time. Do you make many solo trips? Good luck to your DD!

BTW, you may want to steer clear of Canadians too ;).

Richyams -

I don't see working pull-out on your list;)
"Boardwalk view
Top Floor
Near Elevator
Dedicated one bedroom
Above Wylands
I will be arriving early and would appreciate my room ready at noon
Freshly laundered bedspreads
Recently shampooed carpet
Recently renovated
non-smoking
Run that electrostatic air cleaner thing before we arrive
Make sure the ice tray is full
Eu de toilette"

I am sending this plus all of our additions to the room assigner via fax tonight. I am sure he will call you in the morning with an apology and have your new room ready for you to switch. BTW, I don't know if I can get them to waiver the change fee, afterall, you did stay in the inferior room 1 night. :p

Enjoy the rest of the trip.
Sandy

Rich,

According to all my memeber documentaion it says "Pull-out couch" nothing about "pushing back in". Duh

Yes, be careful of us Canadians....you never know what might happen...After all we might take over all of Epcot from the Canada pavillion and make you all eat at Beavertails!!!

LOL

Just as a sidenote, last case of SARS in Toronto, Canada in the community (as opposed to health care workers - their dedication is amazing) was about the 9th of April or so.

Take Care Rich - hope you have a pixie dust day tomorrow

My bad, you're right, I am sorry.

Hi, I was wondering what view your unit does have?

By the way, I went to MK today, it was VERY packed today.

Have to agree with you.

Just because someone is Asian does not mean they have even been out of Florida, while the lovely family at the Rose and Crown could have just as easily been exposed to SARS.

We were there from 4/29 thru 5/3. Stayed at OKW. Sorry we didn't know you were there - could've put you in our pictures!

In honor of Richyams, my husband (who is Asian) has decided he will wear a mask on board our next flight to Orlando (coming soon) and cough a lot. Naturally, everyone will assume he has SARS and maybe the flight will clear out and we can have our own rows to stretch out and get some zzz's.

DeeCeeSW... Interesting thought, but they might just think what we thought almost 2 years ago now (before SARS), we had an Asian women on the plane with us heading from Detroit to Orlando, she was wearing a medical type mask. We just assumed she didn't want to catch anything from us!!! Since my kids seem to get sick everytime we get on a plane since all the germs just circulate around the plane, I guess its not such a bad idea.

Richyams... glad your having a good time with the exception of that couch!

My wife and daughter left for the regional championship horse show in Perry, Georgia this morning.

What kind of horseshow? (Arab, Quarter Horse, hunter-jumper?)
Who is showing. If wife or daughter are showing, wish them the best of luck for me. Horseshowing used to be my other life. :)

Rich-

My mom and I were there from 5/1-5/4. We only reserved less than 2 months ago and got 2017, a 1 BR BW view right above the Big River. We had a light bulb out and OLD VCR but otherwise OK. I have to agree with you, the location was great (especially with mom in a WC and no car,) but I prefer OKW--more light, more room, no walk if you have a car.

Sorry about your family member's death.

Now for the true confession-
I almost sent beer to your room many times as a gift of tribute and homage, but I kept losing my nerve as I thought you might think I was a stalker. I know you celebrities need your space! If you want, have one on me and I'll buy you two next trip.

Enjoy the rest of your trip.

Renee

I am here all alone now, I would have appreciated it.

Went to 1900PF for breakfast, the Mad Hatter was there, he is the guy who posts here. I have pictures of my fourteen year old daughter with him. I have some from when she was three, six, seven or eight, ten, and twelve. He is the greatest, he does that character so well with such a good voice and such personality, he hay actually be the Mad Hatter in real life too.

Then I went to the MK, walked into AE and TTA, waited five minutes for Buzz, off to the HOP, some ice cream on main street than back here to my room to relax. Will go to epcot later.

Business creeps in, I have some e-mails to send and phone calls to make, and it is hot, way hotter than I am used to, I have never been here so close to summer before, so I welcome this rest.

I tell you, the feeling of walking out onto the boardwalk to go to Epcot and seeing the boat just pulling in, is a great feeling. After walking the 2,000 yards to the elevator, then hiking to the BW, that boat is a relief.

Rich, you are sooooooooo politically incorrect that we can't help but love you!

The story about the family picture....classic! We'll have to start calling you Richyams Gump.

The pull out couch....let's face it if it wasn't for that you would have found problems with the windows not being clear.

The long walk to the elevator......haven't you heard about FastPass????? (Gee, for such a seasoned veteran do we have to point everything out to you?!?

Yet, alone but undaunted you are still seeing the favorites and having a great time. A man after my own heart.

BTW the Mad Hatter verbally tangled with my daughter when she was about 5 and still till this day she tries to avoid him (she is 10). Funny as all hell! He is surpassed only by Cruella DeVil in MGM. My daughters made the mistake of telling her we had a dog....she went off on a roll better than your best OKW vs. anyplace else posts!

Enjoy. We're waiting for more updates.

This is just a general response to the whole lot of you. I'm new to this board (as you can see by my small number of posts), but have already seen many references to richyams in other posts. Now I understand why! This entire thread has had me laughing out loud and I'm seeing that I will learn all sorts of intricities of WDW and DVC from you guys. Thanks for the entertainment!
