By the way, a surgical mask will only prevent you from coughing up your big crud and getting it on others. Surgical masks will not provide protection against bacteria, germs, bugs, dust, etc.

Surgeons wear them to keep their germs out of the patient's body cavity. Not to protect them from the patient.

You need to wear a respirator that has been fit-tested to your face to provide you respiratory protection.

Rumor has it you are trying to hide your identity

I was wondering like has anyone ever seen Richyams in person - does he actually exist or is he a resale front man rep for a timeshare company for OKW listings?

Love the richyams versus BWV couch thing - watch as the couch hurls richyams out through the not so clear glass onto the boardwalk at the end of round four....

Cheers

The pull-out was probably broken by a family of five that slept all three of their kids on it and bent the frame. They were probably extra tired after scamming in on the "OKW unbirthday party" earlier in the day. ;)

Hey Rich, be sure to clean the windows before you leave okay? It'll help keep my dues down....thanks!! :smooth:

Rich you are near JellyRolls or are you facing the canal and gardens? I am at the other end of the long hallway and on the first floor facing Luna Pool. Renee you are probably in the middle of both of us. We were also at MK this morning could it be we were on the same bus. We got on approx 8:30 stopped at the BCV and were so full we went right to MK. We left the MK around noon and the bus driver took forever to get us back to BW, man he was s-l-o-w!

What kind of horseshow?

We have an American showharse, I believe that it is also Arab, I really know nothing about the horse stuff except how much it costs...it costs alot. They don't call it "The sport of kings" for nothing.

Went back over to Epcot, got ripped off at dinner, it was the most horrible thing I had ever seen. I sat in the lounge of the Japanese resturuant, I was under the impression, and I guess it was correct, that anything you could order in the tempura bar, you could order here. Well I saw a couple near me get a huge pile of shrimp tempura, at least six shrimp, and a bunch of other stuff. I ordered the Shrimp Tempura, the couple across from got their meal delivered, at least six shrimp, maybe eight, and a huge pile of other tempuraed vegitables, It was beautiful, my mouth was watering, then mine came, I was heartbroken, truly immasculated, they btought me TWO shrimp, one graan bean, one carrot and one piece of some white thing, it was about four bites, I was mortified.

I started questioning the others who got these beautiful, huge platters, it turns out that they ordered something else, I ordered the tiny appetizer size.

At least I had some redemption by getting free fish and chips at the english pub.

I met this charming couple on their honeymoon, children, 26 and she was 24, they were from Tenesee(sp)...I think we are going to have new DVC owners. She was the spitting image of Liv Tyler, he was a lucky man, its real nice getting to know someone from a different, very different place. Its amazing how different things can be, from high school experiences to property values and company loyalty.

If anyone wants to speak(type) to someone who has actually met me, Mad Hatter posts quite often on other boards here, I met him for the tenth time today, but this time I introduced myself, the Mad Hatter has actually met Richyams.

I've got to say, he is amazing, he has been doing this for a very long time and is the most professional and best character that I have ever experienced. He has been my daughter's favorite for more than ten years. In all the times we have enjoyed 1900PF, we missed him once. He is a hero.

I went back to Epcot after stopping at the hotel. I did JII, Malestrom and more innoventions and ate, and ate, and ate.

I have to say, Innoventions dissapointed my. I am going to buy something that will allow me to surf anytime, anywhere, I was thinking that this would best be accomplished with a modem cord, my cell phone and 14k, I saw some cool cell phones that last time I was there...three months ago, this time they had nothing. I had been seeing all those IBM commercials about the centurion???? whatever that new processor is called, and there mobile technology. I was expecting to go to Innoventions and moke up my mind what I wanted to use. I figured all the new tech stuff would be ther as it always is.

It wasn't, not only were they not representing tommorrow, all they had was a PIII 850 laptop as their premier hardware!!!!!!!!'

Tommorrow?????? Huh??? They were three years out of date!!

When I told the IBM/Epcot CM that they were not only 'not tommorrow', they were three weeks ago last Thursday!!!! She agreed, she said that she was embarrassed by what they had.

They must have read your Oriental remark.....;)

Richyams. I agree with your description of Innoventions! We go there, also, to see what's new and find what's up for us early adapters. So, they had Via Voice?!! Big whoop. Even my husband noticed and said "didn't you get that about 5 years ago when they showed it here? Wonder if it speaks Yankee yet?" (he's from the South, I'm not. Never could get the software to understand me.)

We were at OKW while you were at BW. We stayed in a studio, but they gave us a tour of a GV while we there as we're considering bringing the large family group again. I was surprised there was an empty one for us to see. I figured it was your room that wasn't being used while you were staying over at BW.

Good one Loubon...good one

te he te he te he................

Richyams server at Japan who read post and decided to skimp on the serving - Richyams is lucky he did not run into a martial arts demo or into the drum artists at Japan!!!

I'm not here for one day and my thread goes to the second page.

Up early, out quickly, amazing how much faster that can be done without the wife and kid.

Drive over to the TTC, walk into MK hoping for breakfast at The Crystal Palace. The line is long, real long to check in. The reason I parked at the TTC is that I knew this may be a problem and I could just monorail somewhere else. I did, instead of going to the always great 1900PF, I went to Chef Mickey's at the Cont....this was only slightly above a pre-plated character breakfast at OKW. The sausage gravy and biscuits were standard and good, but it really left me wishing that I had braved the CP line.

Pulled out of the TTC at 12:30, home a few minutes after 4:00

I can't believe you people let MY thread fall to the second page.

Should I as a caucasian of dutch descent avoid my adopted daughter because she is asian? I think that if you are worried about SARS you should be using universal precautions and not targeting people based on their looks. You could get coughed on an infected by someone you think looks safe! Come on, try to raise that sensitivity quotient.

Sorry, but if you are in WDW, you are surrounded by people who have traveled from all over the world.

Let's take a common sense test. Who is more likely to have come from an Asian country?

A) Blonde hair, blue eyed couple

B) A white, fat, redneck looking couple with six teeth between them

C) Most anyone talking with a southern accent

D) an oriental family

How does any of this reflect on anyone? Its just common sense. I just wish Canadians were easier to spot...they don't all wear maple leafs.

Actually, watch out for someone wearing a stethascope, limping with sore feet from standing all day, and whose every other piece of advice involves handwashing. We nurses and doctors are your most likely folks to have this dreadful disease.

I was thinking of a new rating system...you know, two thumbs up, four diamonds, five stars, etc. Now we can have the number of shrimp tails signifying how good it is. Hey, Richyams, youse got a two shrimp tail rating! :) Sandie

Yep, got to be careful of us Canadians - you never know when we might be lurking around just waitng to say Eh and take you to Beavertails and Le Cellier and pontificate about hockey and how darn cold it is up here.

Rich, repeat after me - it takes longer term personal exposure to someone who has SARS to even have a chance of getting it - a casual discussion or walk by is just not going to cut it.

Anyways, gald to hear you survived the nightmare DVC BWV resort

Below is the evil Canadian Lord Chretien against Richyams

*This morning we all had breakfast at Spoodle...

*Had a few snacks,...

*watched a full fountain segment, food, snacks, I sat with a nice family from Indiana at the English pub and had a great, super, fantastic meal of fish and chips, they had the brightest little six year old boy, a real poindexter, he reminded me of myself, more food and more snacks...

*Went to 1900PF for breakfast,...

*some ice cream on main street ...

*Went back over to Epcot, got ripped off at dinner...

*At least I had some redemption by getting free fish and chips at the english pub...

*I did JII, Malestrom and more innoventions and ate, and ate, and ate....

*The sausage gravy and biscuits were standard and good...
Alright Rich, how much weight did you gain on this trip?

here's my contribution to bumping your thread back to the top ;) :

come on, rich... *sigh* *shakes head*
it's asian, not oriental.
again, rugs are oriental, not people.
*chuckle*
