I booked this room and now I'm second guessing. Its across from the laundry. How loud will it be? Do people do laundry all night?

Maybe. Maybe not. Some people use the laundry early, or late. There are doors into the laundry, that helps cut any noise. The biggest noise tends to be from people just "hanging out" in the passageway waiting either for their stuff to finish, or an empty washer.

I'm not seeing laundry across from 2000 on the Magic deck plans. The ones on the DCL blog show the laundry across from 2098. Has it changed?

Eta: It's kind of across from 2000 on the Dream and Fantasy. But not the Magic and Wonder to my knowledge.

I will look again. Hopefully I saw it wrong. Thank you

I'm not seeing laundry written at all on the deck plans .I thought I read it some place.

Also what are those little bumps in diagram? Will view be obstructed?

If you read the reviews on here, you have to check which ship they are about. The ones that mention the laundry are for the Dream and the Fantasy.

I have not sailed in 2000 on the Magic or Wonder, but it is not obstructed. It is right towards the front of the ship, so the window as I understand it is slightly smaller and tilted a little bit down, but from reports I've read, there is a little bit of a ledge that you can use for storage or sitting.

We stayed in 2002 on the Dream and it was a great area. No worry about the laundry room at all. There is no laundry room near 2002 on the Magic. The laundry room is much more aft near cabin 2101

The best place I have found to view deck plans is www.cruisedeckplans.com

There is a public site and a member site.

I have stayed in 2004, a few doors down from 2000. It’s a fantastic location, and there are no room across the hall. There are staff quarters further past 2000 (towards the bow) and you’ll hear/see staff in this area, but that’s all. It’s a pretty quiet location. As previously stated, due to the curve of the bow, there is a seat under the porthole. Sailing same room again in 2 months!

We've often stayed near a laundry (not on deck 2 but on other decks). I didn't notice any appreciable noise from it. The one or two times I threw something into the dryer it was nice to be able to just quickly nip in and see if it was done. I don't think it's any better or worse than any other area as regards noise.
