I would like a report from anyone who stayed at Ron Jons before there cruise.

I would like to hear about this place, too! I have been lurking around here for a very long time, but since we are going on our first Disney cruise in November, I thought I'd better start asking some questions. We were really looking at this place to stay the night before and after our 4-night cruise, and I'd love to know how it is! Thanks!

Go over to the Cruise Line forum and do a search on Ron Jons and you'll get lots of info more than likely. Or post this question on that forum. A lot of people don't look at this one all the time because it is for trip reports.

We stayed there the night before our cruise and it was good. It is not 5* hotel or anything but it was the best in the area. It had a good restaurant.

We are lucky owners at the Ron Jon Cape Caribe, and it is and awesome place. We are floridians and we just went for 7 days to the Ron Jon. Our unit is a two bedroom villa with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, one bedroom had two double beds, the master has a king and a whirlpool tub in the bathroom, and there is a pullout in the livingroom. Amenities galore. huge pool, lazy river, large jacuzzi, 245 ft waterslide. I have three boys, they stayed occupied all day. There is and inside play area similar to McDonalds, but twice make that three times the size. The beach or oceanfront is a tram ride away. We cruised last December, and stayed the night before. The Port is right next to the cruise terminals. Disney is five minutes up the road. On Saturday, and Thursday evenings you can watch the Wonder and the Magic head out to see. Other ships depart from there also. We really enjoyed our stay at the Ron Jon, and are planning on staying again at the end of September when we cruise Disney again. Good Luck Hope this helped

Hubby and I stayed at Ron Jon's last year and found it very nice--right on the beach and easy access to the cruise! Go for it, I think you will be glad you did!

Just got back from a long weekend at Ron Jon Cape Caribe. We stayed in a studio. The unit was good sized with a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. I would suggest that anyone staying there request their unit be anywhere but the first floor. We were checking in early and when the front desk asked if we wanted the first floor, we said fine. Big mistake. Besides being noisy (we were near mini golf), there are no outside windows. Instead of a window there were frosted glass blocks that let some light in, but you could not see in or out. The room kind of felt like a cave. I probably could have requested a different room, but we also didn't want to wait to check in, as the kids really wanted to hit the pool. The pool area is fabulous. The lazy river was great, very relaxing. My hubby took the shuttle to the beach and did some surfing. Waves were kind of choppy and it was breezy, with the tropical wave out in the Atlantic. We might consider staying here precruise, if the price was right.

Had a 3 night stay post-cruise.
The rooms are nice and they had a lot of activities. Kids kept really busy. They loved the lazy river, pool and water slide. Took shuttle down to beach and looked around.
Our room was clean. My sister also had a room and it was not. Dirty towels left, not vacuumed, Coffee grinds left in filter and trash left in room. Went down to front desk said they try to get it. Never did. At check out they brought it up again and all they said was sorry.

We had a deluxe 2 bedroom so we had a lot of room. I think we had 4 TV's and 2 DVD players. You can get movies to bring back to your room for free.
The food in the restaurant was good and the prices weren't bad. We order take out a lot an ate back in the room.
There is a great indoor playground for the younger ones. They also have a small outdoor playground. Game room with pool tables. Movie Theater with movies running most of the time. Miniature golf for free a much as you want.

Avoid rooms across from elevators and the stairwells. Door to the stairs slams shut. Very loud and there was an echo.
On Saturday and Sunday it was much more crowded. I don't know if the sell passes to locals many people had day pass. It was hard to find a chair. Thursday and Friday were great.
I would stay there again. Just wish people were quieter in the corridors. (That is a problem everywhere)
The kids really enjoyed it.
