Has anyone stayed in buildings 11-14? Are they highly requested? This will be the first time my parents have stayed at a resort without an actual food court so they'd like to be close to the main pool to be able to get coffee in the mornings (they do not want to brew their own on vacation!!). We're also staying in studios....is there a laundry facility at the main pool? When they have been with me we've always used our points to stay in a moderate which they love!! Is this a good area to request?

Thanks so much!

We love building 14 right across from the HH bus stop.

I'm sure there are a lot of people who request these buildings. I personally don't care for them because of the difficulty parking there. Also, these older buildings (Phase I) don't have the extra door through the laundry room into the Master Bath.

But your folks have the same chance as anybody else of getting one of these units if they put it on their request. Instead of specifying a particular building number, just request to be near the Hospitality House - that should be do-able.

BTW, I can't imagine actually wanting to go out of my unit to get coffee when I can make my own right there. But to each their own.

We have stayed in 14, and it is VERY close to HH, but I don't necessarily think that is a good thing. Sure, it's easy to get to HH, but I am not enamored with being at the main pool, since it is usually noisy with lots of kids etc. I prefer the smaller quiet pool areas. Also, as mentioned, the parking can be a real hassle at those buildings close to HH. Folks seem to think they can park there and take the bus from HH easier than they can park at their own unit and take the bus from that bus stop. As for making my own coffee in the morning....What could be easier than putting the pre-packaged pouch into the coffee maker and running a little water? Sure beats WALKING to get it! LOL:lmao:

We have studios so we're all set with the master bath. I think the going to get the coffee is my dad's way of waiting for my mom to get ready. Makes it seem like she spends less time in the bathroom maybe :rotfl:

We checked in at OKW on Tuesday Jan. 30. Our first choice was to be back in South Point but building 14 was all that was available when we checked in. I did like the location for the convenience of the bus, boat, HH, etc. I also felt the unit looked a little shopworn though it was clean. Parking looked full at the adjacent buildings but we always found a spot at our building, though sometimes it was the last spot.

I don't think there is a laundry by the main pool. I looked on the map and think the nearest laundry is by the quiet pool in the Miller Rd. area. (Miller Rd.--is that the right name for it?) I would stay there again but would hope to have other neighbors. I can't imagine they were having much of a magical vacation with all the screaming the man was doing at the wife and kids. I was thrilled to go out one morning and find the basket of sheets waiting at their door.:(
